My project was far from the easiest because I did not want to replace my cabinets. Several people on the Monk's team said that I would have been crazy to do so. There were other limitations within which whoever undertook the job would have to work as well. Most contractors will not touch a project unless they can gut the entire space and start from scratch. From the beginning, Monk's was willing to treat me as a contributing member of the team. I am a very hands on person and always love learning from each trade that contributes to the final project. "This is an overdue review. I hired Bernie and his team for a kitchen remodel in June 2021, after he did an excellent job with my three bathrooms in 2020. The kitchen remodel was also excellent. His works are efficient, hardworking and clean. My remodel took two weeks, as he had quoted and for the exact price he had quoted. "Nick provided a top-to-bottom, end-to-end renovation/upgrade to a two bedroom apartment for sale including the full bathroom from floors to walls to shower and sink faucets, vanities, mirror and medicine cabinet demo and installation, repaired/filled holes and painted - basically everything other than the tub replacement so that it was a brand new, spotless room. He continued this effort and workmanship in every room and demoed and installed all new pergo flooring for the open floor plan kitchen and living room and bedrooms, landings as well as new stairs replacing dated laminate and carpeting. The kitchen cabinets, countertops, faucet, etc. were completely updated and made the most of the space while being designed in way to fit an over the stove microwave in the future. Future designs were factored into the cabinet layout/installation. He repaired/filled large holes in walls, ceilings, doors left during a move-out and painted the entire apartment to make it fresh and updated where you couldn’t notice the holes anymore. Incorporated all the finishing touches that a realtor identified to complete the renovation. Constantly receive compliments on the impressive finished product of our newly renovated apartment that is ready to move in."
