"They arrived on time and were very professional and cleaned up when they were done. It took 2 days to install the fence, so they were very efficient. A year later, we had a problem with a hinge that broke, due to our landscaper slamming the double gate. We called On-line Deck and Fence and they came right out and replaced the gate hinge at no charge. I highly recommend this company. <br />"

"Well we were surprised by the professionalism and punctuality that Doug displayed throughout the entire process. His men showed up on time and did our home a great deed. We are almost certain that it never had a decent bath in its 20 year existence. Cajun Soft Wash is the only home cleaning service that I could recommend to anyone who wants the very best at an affordable price. Doug is a true professional and it shows both in his business mannerisms and scope of work ethics."

"The project went smooth. A lot of hard work in the summer heat, on hands and knees planting a lot of mondo grass. That part took forever and required patience. Old pea gravel was removed and replaced with a stone walkway and numerous other plants were installed, as well as top soil and mulch put down. I wasn’t at hope the first couple of days when the project finished, so Ray came by to water everything. After payment was rendered, he came back to make some small adjustments to account for water drainage after the 8 inches of rain fell in one day. Would definitely use again, as Ray takes pride in his work and wants to make sure the customer is happy."

"Overall, it went very well. I was very happy that the man who did the estimate was the same man who came out and did the work. Mr. Dupre even came out to my house the Saturday before the job started and applied a sample to make sure the stain color was what I wanted. <br /> I live north of Baton Rouge and that (along with traffic) caused Mr. Dupre to be a little late some of the scheduled work days. <br /> I did not get a competitive quote because I found very few providers who do actual refinishing and the price seemed reasonable based on the amount of time needed to do the job properly. I don't know if "refacing" would have been cheaper, but I wanted to keep the wood grain pattern and I think "refacing" removes that natural look. Mr. Dupre did need to come back a few days after the job was done to touch up the polyurethane on some of the cabinets. <br /> The cabinets are more glossy than I had anticipated, but I am not going to fault Mr. Dupre for this. They look excellent in my opinion. <br /> I would definitely recommend Quality Coatings for painting and refinishing. <br /> <br /> **Updated. I have been trying to get in touch with Mr. Dupre for two weeks now to change the finish from semi-gloss to matte. No response. Maybe he's very busy with other jobs."

"Larkin Bagget was our salesman, consultant and jobsite supervisor. We found him to be a wonderful person to deal with. Mudbug Pavers exceeded our expectations. The price was fair and we have a beautiful area for entertaining. Where we had a muddy side yard before, its now a wide cement walkway with a retaining wall that matches our patio pavers and extension. we would recommend them to anyone, and will."

"The job was scheduled to begin on a Tuesday and 3 workman showed up ontime at the agreed upon time of 9 am.  They built a tent out of plastic sheeting in the family room sealing it off from the rest of the house to contain the dust from the jackhammer used to remove the old ceramic tile.  The ceiling in that room is 18 feet and the tent was well constructed to contain the dust to the lower level.  I was very impressed with the dust containment plan they implemented that included fans to exhaust the dust outside and dampening it to keep it from becoming airborne.  It worked exceptionally well.  The tent was constructed in a way to contain the dust to the lower level of the house and out of all connecting rooms, stairways, doorways and the open catwalk above the family room that leads to two seperate wings on the second floor.   <br /> .After the ceramic tile and old hardwood floor removel they installed the new flooring.  The job took several weeks.   I prolonged the job because I made errors ordering the materials.  The materials arrived late and left the workman with little to do until the correct materials arrived.  They painted and made the best of it and completed a bucket list of small jobs my wife threw at them without complaint - and they did NOT charge me for any of those small jobs.   <br /> I paid very close attention to the details of how the flooring was laid and advised them how I wanted the floors to run and where I wanted the seams and cuts.  They laid extremely expensive marble in a large foyer and connecting bathroom, ceramic tile in the kitchen, and 5" plank hardwood in a separate home office and a 900 square foot family room.  The work was performed flawlessly.  I gave them a very demanding plan that required perfection and they executed it perfectly ontime and on schedule.   <br /> Originally I had decided not to spend extra money to paint all of the trim (which was repainted only two years earlier) but they painted it anyway to match the other trim that was painted at <strong>NO</strong> additional cost to me.  It was little things like that impressed me most.  Every day before they started work they laid down rolls of brown construction paper and firmly taped it down to all surfaces to protect both old and new surfaces from the dusty mess renovation invariably causes. They arranged for a large construction dumpster to be delivered and they neatly filled it up with debris from the remodel.  They cleaned up after themselves daily and didn't leave debris or paint stains on my grass, on my porches, patios,, or driveways.  They completed the job about 10 days after the projected completion date but the delay was my fault.  I delayed them by not ordering the right materials.  They never complained or charged me extra for the delays.  They did a fabulous job and I will use them for every remodeling job I do in the future if they are available.  I live in a Country Club Community with strict rules about construction work appearance and cleanup.  They followed those rules the letter and the entire experience was professional and first class in every respect.  My neighbors are clammering for references for this construction company. <br />"

FAQs for deck, fence, patio or porch clean and seal projects in White Castle, LA

You should clean your deck before sealing it. Cleaning before refinishing is critical. If you don’t remove dirt and debris, you'll trap moisture in the wood, which prevents the new sealer from working correctly and can lead to costly repairs. Whether you need to sand, power wash, or sandblast depends on your deck's condition.

Sealing and staining your deck are essential maintenance methods that protect and beautify your outdoor space. Stain adds rich color and guards against fading, while sealant fortifies the wood against moisture and weather damage. Wood type, climate, deck age, and the degree of existing damage determine whether your deck benefits from one or both treatments. Using both options extends your deck’s durability and enhances its overall appearance.

Power washing and sealing your deck costs $500 to $1,700. This process combines the removal of stubborn dirt and debris with a protective seal that preserves the wood’s integrity. Effective cleaning eliminates harmful buildup, and a proper seal prevents moisture damage and wood decay, ensuring long-term durability and reducing future repair expenses.

Your deck must be sealed every one to three years to maintain its strength and appearance. Regular sealing is essential to protect the wood against moisture, mold, and harmful UV rays. A consistent sealing schedule prevents rapid deterioration and costly repairs. Inspections should be performed annually to determine if the protective layer remains intact, extending the life of your deck.

Leaving your deck untreated compromises its structural integrity and safety. An unprotected deck rots quickly due to moisture and environmental exposure, which means that neglecting sealing results in rapid decay and expensive replacement costs of $4,125 to $11,650. Sealing your deck is essential for maintaining its durability and protecting your home.

The sealant on your deck dries within a few hours and reaches full cure within 72 hours before regular use. It is essential to wait until the complete curing period to ensure the protective layer fully sets and resists weather and foot traffic. Proper drying guarantees that your deck is fully protected against moisture and environmental damage, ensuring lasting quality.
