"Within a day or two of our inquiry, owner/manager Kyle Hodges was here to evaluate our problem and give an estimate for the work he discussed with us. Although we live in a townhouse, the record-breaking Maryland rainfall and the slant of the front lawn toward our foundation had caused serious water build up at our foundation and threat to overflow into the basement.. For several weeks we had been bailing rainwater round the clock from the trench that had formed at the front of our home and using dozens of paper towel rolls to absorb water. "I received estimates from 5 contractors, some for timber replacement, some for block. A natural look was important to me, and I seriously considered timber, but timber today won't last 30 years (due to restrictions on using arsenic). The Solid Brick Contracting initial bid was pretty much the same price as timber, and acceptable in anyone's book, but when I told Oscar I was leaning toward timber because of the more natural look, he showed me the stacked stone EP Henry product. I have 2 other stacked stone and mortared stacked stone walls, and looking at photos, I thought the EP Henry product might actually look pretty good, even against those, and it does. There were some rain delays, but workmanship, design, professionalism, were all excellent. No cost over-run, and they had the proper equipment for the job. What exceeded expectations was the beautiful long sweep of a gently curved wall. Can't do that with timber. It was a substantial project, but I am really happy with the result."

This was done even though we had had a rainy period during the construction. They installed sod to assure our party could take place without any inconvenience.
