"Had old fluorescent lights. This company specializes in replacing those old lights with new LED lighting highlighted by a new, finished, more up to date look along with a crown moulding trim.
These guys KNEW what they were doing. The job went perfectly and came out great. They had TWO rooms to do (kitchen and pantry) and finished in one day. Left the house cleaner than it was when they started. Couldn't be happier with the service and the finished product. All in all, a wonderful experience.
"

"Arrived on time. Replaced an old fluorescent fixture with a new LED ceiling fixture. The installer was efficient, friendly and worked quickly. Repaired a hole in the ceiling left by the old fixture."

"I've used Brian 3 times for various projects. I obtained his name from a lighting store sometime ago. I have been glad they referred him. He is very professional, clean and orderly in his approach to getting the job done. He has always passed city inspection. He completely wired my shop on the previous occasion and installed outdoor lighting and a remote switch for my corrals on another. I would hire him again and highly recommend him. On one occasion, a sensor went out, on one of my floodlights for a corral, shortly after the light was installed. He responded and put in a new one for no charge.....now it works perfectly. I've always appreciated a man that stands behind his work.
"

"Prestige has been very meticulous in caring for our lawn. We had a much cheaper service previous and our lawn and garden areas was a mess. Prestige service is pricey but they are paying attention to details that got ignored before. They've been very punctual, considerate, and helpful with questions I've had. They also did a very nice job replacing our sprinkler heads.
"

"We have a backyard that is pretty much bare and in need of privacy and much more. We were overwhelmed with where to start and didn't want to plant anything or install any hardscape that might interfere with our future plans for a pool. We called Kirk and he called back promptly and scheduled an appointment to come out. He got a feel for what we wanted and the style we were going for by asking questions, showing us pictures and even by observing the way we had remodeled/decorated the inside of our house. We had a couple other people come out and it seemed like they were used to one style and one way of doing things and didn't ask a lot about the look we wanted. After Kirk finished the hardscape plans we were so excited with the outcome we wanted to move right along with the lighting, drainage and plants. Kirk encouraged us to "sit with the hardscape plans" to make sure we were happy with everything. After a week we decided we wanted to switch the locations of the fireplace and bbq which was an option Kirk had mentioned when he presented us with the plans. Instead of rushing through the process to collect a paycheck and move on to the next job, Kirk was more concerned with us taking our time to be extra sure we were satisfied with the plans. After we approved the hardscape plans Kirk finished the plant, drainage and lighting plants a week later. We could not be happier with the finished plans and really enjoyed working with Kirk. He is a great listener, very knowledgeable and great at what he does. I would highly recommend him to anyone."

"
Seth and his crew did an outstanding job with our project. We had a basic plan of what we wanted to do prior to Seth coming out, but he made a few suggestions and modifications that really made a difference in the finished product. The crew was out early each day and were gone promptly at 3:30 which we appreciated very much as we have dogs that need to get out in their yard. Once the job was started, the crew came out every day until the job was completed. They also took the time each day before leaving to clean up any messes that were created. Another plus was Seth always communicated very well with us, returning our calls or e-mails promptly. We have had experiences with contractors in the past that would not show up or return our phone calls, but this didn't happen with Seth. He showed up when he said he would and he would let us know if he was running late. Seth and his crew also finished the job in less than two weeks time which was way ahead of schedule.

We couldn't be happier with our experience and we would definitely use him again.

"

"Called Dennis, said he'd be able to stop by in the evening - called a little while later and said he could make it earlier - came out, did the troubleshooting - identified the issues, performed the repairs, suggested some upgrades (not and up sell), got it all done in a couple of hours - great job!
"

"Derek found time to come for a small job the very day I called.
We hadn't used the outlet closest to our microwave in years because the outlet seemed to fail shortly after buying a new microwave. Because we never had it repaired, we had an unsightly and quot;permanentand quot; extension cord dangling down a cupboard then snaking across the counter to the next nearest outlet.
This week the microwave started cutting out again, so I figured it had prematurely bit the dust. We were intending to buy a new one, but I was determined to lose the hazardous draping extension cord, so I looked on Angie's list for a nearby electrician who might be available to repair the original outlet--a very small job.
I called three Angie's List electricians. (Does anybody else find it hard to actually get contractors out to your house? So I decided better to be safe than sorry and line several up.)
The first electrician arrived and asked me if I had a lamp to plug into the outlet to see if it was really not working. Lo and behold, the light switched on! We tried the microwave again, but it didn't... and quot;proofand quot; that the microwave was kaput and not the outlet. I felt silly, but hoped to redeem the situation by asking him for an estimate on a bigger project we have been considering. The nice man left, not charging us for learning that the outlet was good.
I called the second electrician, Derek at Caulder Electric, and told him the situation and asked if he'd still be willing to come out to give us an estimate on the same bigger project. He agreed.
When he arrived I sheepishly showed him the good outlet. Then I described the bigger project we wanted an estimate for but also remembered that my husband has been frustrated about a problem we have with our irrigation system because of what we thought was faulty wiring.
We have a bathroom that has a door that opens into our backyard. Our sprinkler system seemed to be connected to a switch in our bathroom that controlled an outdoor light. Guests who used the restroom sometimes mistakenly flipped that switch, so that the sprinkler system is accidentally turned off. That meant the sprinkler system backup battery was often engaged, so we were constantly replacing 9-volt batteries, then also reprogramming the control box, and even worse if we didn't notice it, the lawn would start to die because unbeknownst to us the sprinkler hadn't been running!
Derek had time to work on this project even though we called him for a much smaller job. AND he was curious enough to re-examine the kitchen outlet, and see that the outlet should probably be upgraded for safety. In the meantime, he wondered if it would be more convenient for us to have it moved closer to the microwave since appliances have such short cords these days. I was impressed by his suggestion and asked that he do this. Then I remembered that the overhead lighting in the kitchen had a broken ballast so that not all the florescent lights worked either and asked if he could remedy this too.
After Derek moved the outlet closer, just for the heck of it, he plugged the microwave directly into the new outlet. (Because the cord was not quite long enough to meet the nearby outlet we had had an adapter piece on the end of the cord in addition to the extension cord when we needed.) Guess what? The microwave worked!!!
The problem wasn't the microwave or the outlet, it was the adapter and the extension cord fittings which were getting too hot had degraded and not allowed the connections to stay connected. (That's a real fire hazard!)
So, Derek and his assistant are my heroes! They fixed many day-to-day minor annoyances we'd lived with for years, probably saved us from an electrical fire, improved the quality/safety of several outlets (in addition to a breaker switch they noticed was loose too), and saved us from buying an unnecessary new microwave!
I definitely look forward to using Caulder Electric for several larger projects ASAP. Derek went above and beyond, was perceptive, conscientious, respectful, affordable, tidy and prompt. Hope you all have a Derek in your future!
A real Angie's List success story!
"
