"He did gutter downspouts underground for better drainage. Brought in dirt and regarded the yard. Built up a window well and a/c pad. He also reseeded the yard. He did amazing work and was very good about staying in contact with us before, during and after the work."

"I had a HUGE old cottonwood tree that just blanketed everything in like 2-3 inches of cotton and was just horrible. I called them and they were able to come out quickly and give me a quote. After shopping around and realizing that tree removal is actually incredibly expensive for as big of a tree that I had, I went with them. They were super professional, really nice and cleaned up spotlessly. They even cut up the old tree for firewood. Now I have firewood for years! Lol I would 1000% recommend to anyone ."

"Romani Construction was very professional during the entire project. We had part of an old deck removed and the other part of the deck refloored with treated lumber. They added a step-down and then poured a large patio. The finish work was spot on. They kept us informed during the whole process. The yard was clean when they left. I would strongly recommend Romani."

FAQs for brick and stone patios, walks, and steps installation projects in Wichita, KS

When cleaning your flagstone patio, begin by gently hosing off loose dirt and debris. Use a mild solution of white vinegar and water or diluted dish soap to scrub the surface with a soft-bristled brush. Avoid using abrasive tools, such as wire brushes, as they can damage the stone’s seal and finish. This careful approach effectively removes mold and grime while preserving the natural beauty of your patio.

Flagstone naturally offers a neutral palette that includes shades of grey, black, red, yellow, brown, and tan, and its inherent color cannot be altered. Choosing varieties like bluestone provides a subtle bluish tint that complements many exterior designs. These natural hues enhance curb appeal and create a refined, timeless look in your outdoor space, ensuring a sophisticated finish with minimal upkeep.

Flagstone for a patio must have a minimum thickness of 1.5 inches to reliably support furniture and foot traffic. Using stone that is two to three inches thick is recommended to ensure lasting durability. The increased thickness prevents cracking under load and enhances long-term performance. Investing in thicker flagstone provides superior stability and resistance to weather conditions, ensuring your outdoor space remains both safe and attractive.

You can paint a flagstone patio by using a high-quality, outdoor elastomeric latex paint designed for heavy foot traffic. Painting not only refreshes the patio’s appearance but also creates a waterproof barrier that protects the stone from damage. Regular reapplication every one to two years maintains its durability and visual appeal, ensuring your patio remains both stylish and well-protected.
