"Joey was our salesman and he was very thorough and explained the whole process to us. We picked out all of our flooring, paint colors, fixtures, shower enclosure colors/patterns, type of glass for the doors etc from an extensive set of samples he brought with him, which was very helpful. Install day came exactly as scheduled by Randell and our installer Taylor and plumber Clay showed up to get started. Our house is 72 years old, so they had a few issues to deal with and overcame every little thing that needed to be done with complete competence. Our 2 bathrooms both turned out SO pretty and we couldn't be happier with the work that was done. Taylor is very detail oriented and a very hard worker. He even showed up to work during the snow that practically crippled the city. I was very impressed with his work ethic. He is very pleasant and polite and I kinda miss the guy now that he's gone. I'd absolutely hire them again if I renovate any other bathrooms."

"Bob and his crew were very timely and clean. We have a small apartment in our shop that we needed a window put in, shelves installed, and some doors repaired. Everything was done above our expectations. Bob had great recommendations to make our project better than we could have hoped."

"We had an excellent experience having two new showers installed in our home. Our local BathPlanet team was wonderful, from the sales person to the office manager to the installers (we had different installers for each project, too, and both were great). Not only were they professional, attentive to detail, and responsive, they were also kind, friendly, funny, and a pleasure to have in our home. The quality of the work was excellent, and our showers look wonderful. I highly recommend this company, and I would absolutely hire them again."

FAQs for bathtub installation and replacement projects in Wichita Falls, TX

Most tubs last an average of 20 years, or closer to 10 to 15 if they’re acrylic or fiberglass. If you’re seeing persistent leaks, cracks, stubborn stains, or mold that won’t scrub away, it’s time to start shopping for a replacement. Out-of-date features and visible water damage are other red flags. Swapping the tub now protects your bathroom from bigger (and pricier) repairs down the road.

You should install your tub in a location that complements your bathroom's layout, plumbing connections, and personal preferences. Consider placing it near existing plumbing to minimize installation costs. Many homeowners position their tubs to take advantage of natural light or scenic outdoor views, enhancing relaxation.

Ensure there's sufficient space around the tub for easy access and safety, especially if accessibility is a concern. Ultimately, the ideal spot is where the tub fits seamlessly with your bathroom design and provides the most comfort and convenience for your needs.

Replacing a bathtub takes just one or two days if you hire a pro to handle the job. They'll remove the old tub and install the new one efficiently. If you're considering doing it yourself, be prepared for it to take much longer, possibly up to a month. That's because you'll need to remove the old tub and drywall, install the new tub, repair the walls, and maybe tackle new tiling. Weigh the time commitment against potential cost savings to decide what's best for you.

Converting your tub to a shower transforms your bathroom with a modern and accessible design. The average cost to convert a tub to a shower ranges from $2,000 to $10,500, based on the required plumbing, tiling, and structural modifications. This upgrade maximizes space while boosting functionality and aesthetics in your bathroom.
