"We hired Stephen Cummings to paint the interior walls of a house my parents had purchased (the house was completly empty), the painting needed to be done before my Dad arrived due to bad COPD. Stephen showed up on time as expected but come the final day we noticed what a poor job was done. He only puts one coat of paint on the walls (All other painters I have spoken to said that is crazy), so we pointed out several locations where the previous color was showing through. He would touch up those spots but had no initiative to continue to look for his own mistakes. After a while my husband gave up and said I don't have time to sit here and tell you where your mistakes are, I don't have a choice but to go and purchase paint for a 2nd coat. Stephen had no issues with this and took the money (he gave us a whole $400 off and we had to redo his work) and left. Not only was the paint job done poorly we had to clean paint up all over the place. He didn't use a tarp on the wood floors so we had spatter everywhere, paint in the tub, and we had to point out to him where the paint had dripped down the base boards. The fact that we paid him and then had to do his job (and he knew it) says a ton about who is as a professional! My husband gave up because of the attitude he received when showing Mr. Cummings where his work was not up to par. Save your money and find another company or do it yourself! We will be spending the entire night awake and painting as my father can not be around the paint fumes. You have a lot to learn about business, Mr. Cummings!"
