"I hired Anthony and his crew to repair my roof. An entire section had lifted, separated and was sliding. Anthony inspected the roof and told me the problem. It was installed wrong and he showed me why (improperly nailed). He then gave me a great price to do the section but said his crew would be by the next morning to inspect and determine if additional shingles needed replacement. His crew came the next morning, inspected the roof and decided to increase the repair area to ensure it was done correctly. They purchased the exact shingles that were on the roof, did an excellent job. Even though they replaced almost 2x as many shingles as were quoted, the price did not change. They cleaned up everything and the roof looks awesome."

Upon inspection, I was informed the job was going to be easier than expected and reduced the price originally quoted over the phone. While up on the the roof, Christopher Carrothers took pictures of his repair, plus the flashing for the two bathroom vents to show they should have a touchup, which I agreed after seeing the pictures. There was an additional and acceptable charge for the touchup; which was very reasonable. Christopher did quality work and was able to come out the same day after his scheduled work was completed. The pictures he took were a great help in seeing the work he had done and in seeing the condition of the other two vent tubes flashing. Christopher told me that his company does other home related work, which I will keep in mind for any future home repair work."

I think having a roofer present during the inspection was very important. I did not have to be there. The salesperson was very professional. Deck repair and refinishing. Needed to be right, plus no splatter on the new siding. Done perfectly. Roof shingles replaced with upgraded materials. We had a flu sweep through the crew. Storms impacted the schedule, and we insisted that the roofers take no chances with slippery conditions and lightning. A few issues resulted from these nature-sourced interruptions. "Through word of mouth, I called Camden to provide an estimate for a leak in the valley where the roof of the original structure and an addition join together. During the initial inspection/estimate, the original quote was only for repairing the valley at $750, the lowest of three estimates I requested.
Once the workman got on site, he raised concerns regarding the rest of the roof on the addition. The addition on the roof had been placed poorly, to say the least, and he was concerned that even repairing the valley would not correct other defects in roof which could cause more leaks in the future. Also he did not feel the repair could be guaranteed with all the other defects. After a brief discussion and personally looking closer at the roof, the contractor quoted an additional $600 for re-shingling the roof of the addition.
While I will admit it does sound like sand bagging, of the three quotes I received, none of them mentioned the defects in the roof or quoted a price for re-shingling the addition. I believe do it right the first time, so to me the extra money was well spent. In all, from quote to completion took 3 days.
