"These guys are smart, experienced, very knowledgeable in their field. They work hard, fast and do not sacrifice quality. I worked In structural concrete construction for more than 40 years and I can tell you that these folks know their work and have great work ethic. I highly recommend them. I am looking to them for another upcoming project (siding). I am happy with the cost of the project, certainly competitive. Devin is as advertised-he comes across as a man that does what he says he is going to do."

"I wanted to widen my driveway to add an additional parking space.  Todd suggested an alternate plan that would cost less.  They relocated the existing gate and part of the fence as well as adding concrete.  The finished project looks great and is exactly what I wanted.  They hauled away all debris and left the space clean.  I would definitely use them again. <br />"

"The estimate process went great, we've really been impressed with the sales folks they send out. He was very flexible about timing, and spent quite a bit of time preparing the documents. We ultimately did not hire Drybasement to remodel the basement because the estimate was considerably more (to the tune of about $52K), including creating an egress window somewhere along the foundation - an expense we did not take into account. While we did not choose to move ahead with Drybasement on this project, we do still have our sump pump serviced by them and would not hesitate to recommend them to others."

"I contacted Steve on a Wednesday, and by Thursday afternoon the entire job was DONE!! He was a professional to work with, and he and his team did outstanding work. Several times throughout the job Steve had me take pictures/review his work before moving on to the next step- I was very impressed. I highly recommend. <br />"

"John and his crew have placed walls and slabs on a custom build project for me. He provides the highest quality work for a fair price. Over the last 40 years of building I have learned that the lowest bid is generally not the best one. <br /> John has done the work on time, returns calls, responds to issues as soon as possible. His decorative work is fabulous. Some of the best I've seen at the Lake. At a fair price. <br /> Do yourself a favor for trouble free issues on both commercial and residential projects call John Clary Concrete. <br />"

"The experience was great.  It took one day.  There was minimal mess.  No heavy equipment involved.  We had this done in May and I waited over the summer to write a review.  So far things look great.  No signs of any settling or cracking issues.  Many friends have remarked how great this looks and some have had it done in our area as well. <br />"

FAQs for concrete patios, walks & steps installation projects in Willow Springs, MO

Most sidewalks rely on a ready‑mix blend of Portland cement, sand, gravel, and water that trucks deliver to your site and pour in one continuous lift. For added strength, many contractors fold in fiber mesh or steel reinforcement. This mix cures into a rock‑solid slab that stands up to foot traffic, freeze‑thaw cycles, and daily wear for decades. Expect a pro to recommend a 4‑inch‑thick pour for standard walkways.

With the right mix, proper drainage, and routine upkeep, a concrete sidewalk can last 25 to 50 years. Freeze‑thaw cycles, road salt, and heavy loads all shorten that timeline, but sealing every few years and patching small cracks early keeps damage in check. Think of sealing as inexpensive insurance for decades of safe, stable footing. In milder climates, some slabs push well past the 30‑year mark without major repairs.

Concrete sidewalks crack as a result of significant temperature fluctuations and heavy load pressures. The freeze-thaw cycles and sustained weight from vehicles or intense foot traffic force the concrete to develop cracks over time. Applying a premium sealant every two to three years and substituting salt with sand for de-icing minimizes crack formation. Regular maintenance and timely repairs safeguard the sidewalk’s structural integrity and extend its service life.
