"Replaced shower and vanity in 1 bathroom, installed new cerimic tile in shower, bathroom floor. Vanity and tile covered over bathroom exesting vent. (wife takes cold shower when she ) . Shower doors had excessive spacing and had to be reinstalled, so as not to leak on floor. The existing commode when reinstalled now leaks. Lance Read was called to repair but never showed up. The existing bathroom door has scars from demon. Molding both shoe and base not installed correctl. Shower no. 2 was even worse. When they left not finishing, his worker stole items from house. I have pictures and can/will invite anyone to see. This was the worse experience I have ever had in my life."

"The contractor finished and I paid him. I then noticed that 2 gates would not close correctly. I called him and he said he would fix the gates. The next week I texted him and he texted back he would fix the gates on Friday. He never showed and I called him again. His response was he was very busy. This crew has full time jobs as paramedics so they install fences as a sideline. Nothing wrong with that but it limits their time on the fence job. I had to pay another contractor to fix the gates as I could not get them to fix the gates. Do not pay them until you are fully satisfied."

"I needed to have a total interior renovation on a beach condo. I live many states away and needed to put total trust in my contractor since I would never be on site. Chris came in and assessed the project, made recommendations, and provided written project estimates in a timely manner. He was quick to get the demo started and left the site clean at the end of every day. He supplied photos of the progress for me. He modified our plans as needed and even sent videos from supply shops to help me to make selections. His quality of work is superior. The value of the renovation is excellent. The end product is fantastic. I am 100% satisfied. Chis is a true professional, has a trustworthy and professional crew and his easy-going demeanor is engaging. I highly recommend Runion Remodeling and will use again whenever I can. "

Customers say: Quick response

"They replaced the siding on my home, and then painted it. They also did some roofing repair, trim repair, plumbing, built a deck, and a kitchen remodel. You can't find a better guy to work with. He wants to do the job right, and wants to make you happy. He definitely goes the extra mile, and does wonderful work."

FAQs for arbor, pergola or trellis custom build projects in Wilmington, NC

Pergolas and gazebos are both outdoor structures, but there are differences between the two. A pergola has a slatted roof that allows partial sunlight to filter through, creating a light and airy space. In contrast, a gazebo features a solid roof that provides complete shade. This key difference influences the comfort and visual appeal of your outdoor space.

Prefabricated pergola kits require one to four hours of assembly, while custom pergola designs take an average of eight to 16 hours. Additional groundwork, such as pouring a concrete slab, leveling the site, and removing obstructions, may extend the installation process to several weeks, ensuring a secure and long-lasting build.

A standard pergola kit ships with everything you need—four support posts, rafters, top runners, support beams, and hardware for anchoring the frame to a concrete pad. Many manufacturers also bundle add-ons like retractable canopies, privacy screens, or modular sections that let you tweak the footprint. Because each part is pre-cut and labeled, the kit helps you—or your contractor—assemble a sturdy, attractive structure without extra trips to the hardware store.
