"Our house had been getting up 85F or higher each day for about a week or so. I had my wife schedule these guys to come and service our air conditioner, thinking maybe it was due some coolant. After the guy finished his inspection he indicated that the A/C unit (which was about 40yrs old) had a hard start on it that wasn't doing the job anymore. Having bought the house three years ago I knew it was going to have to be replaced soon. Also it was recommended that since the furnace was about 25 years old that we should replace it as well. The owner came and gave us the sales "shpeal" and was very professional, explained things in detail. Their guys were able to start work within a few days (big plus) and it only took a day and a half.  So here is where it gets a little frustrating. Their clean-up was okay, but not great. I had to go around and pick up wire around the furnace and then go and pick up pieces from the old compressor outside. They also only caulked around the base of the ducting where it meets the furnace, and did no taping of any of the ducting joints. So I had to tape up the main leak points with the little bit of aluminum tape I had left. They didn't even bother taping the joints in the exhaust duct. My wife was around the house while they did the work, but really wouldn't have known to address these issues. They had also loosened one of the elbows in the drain line when hooking up the new furnace, and it had started to leak on the basement floor. Lastly, they had shut off the gas to make the new connections, but didn't make sure that the water heater was operating before they left. Since I wasn't sure if they were completely done, or what all they had done, I had to call them up and walk through what they had done and restart the water heater. All in all, they did pretty good, but you will want to ask for constant updates on what they are doing. Also make sure to go behind them and inspect their work. They plan on coming back in a week to check and see how things are working. I plan on being here when they do to make sure these issues are addressed. Like I said though, they did good overall, a little more attention to detail would have been nice."
