"Hayden was very helpful and efficient with his work. I just moved into a new place and needed a new aesthetic to the place. Hayden installed new sink faucets and shower heads for me. I?m very thankful and will definitely call him back if I need any other updates/renovations done to my home."

"AA Appliance Repair did a great job. They were timely and very professional. They understood the problem, worked efficiently and efficiently. They cleaned up the work area and left the laundry room as they found it. My wife liked the AA Appliance Repair team and will not hesitate to hire them again."

"Several days after he came, I went to use the back two burners of my stovetop and they were suddenly not working when they had been working just fine before he came. The front two were still working. He was only to check on the oven's broiler element and fix if necessary. He pulled out the stove, disassembled the top to get to the wires and also then tested the broil at which time he said it was working ok. It seemed that the switch was funky so fiddling with it will make it work ok so he left that alone, reassembled the stove and put it back against he wall between the cabinets. Then quickly moved onto diagnosing the microwave issue as being related to the magnatron which is too expensive to fix. His visit was more a diagnosis than a repair appointment but he was on time, quick and charged me as per expectation. But after he was gone I needed to use the two back burners of my stove and found they were not working. Since they have been totally fine, and it was odd that they both went out the same time, I had to pull out the stove and look at the wiring myself. It turned out that these two back burners were pulled OUT (and in two different locations in the wiring in the back so it is odd). I am not sure how they got unplugged. I plugged them back in, reassembled the stove and pushed it back into place and they are working just fine now. I am not sure if this was a mistake on his part or intentional. I assume a mistake. It was easy enough to fix but was very inconvenient."

"Larry responded on time and as professional as they come. He had all the necessary tools and knowledge for the range installation. Without a doubt, I would recommend his service again for any one needing major appliance installation or repair."

"On the coldest day of the year, with Portland an ice rink, our fridge started warming up to a balmy 60 degrees. Not good.
Within three hours of the service call, Corey (Ice Man) was on site, fixing it. Our service call window was 12-2pm, and he was onsite by 12:30pm. Corey is professional, courteous, and you can tell that he's excited about talking to customers about appliances and appliance repair. He even offered to fix someone else's work (the water delivery system) and was quick to show us how to avoid trouble with kinked water hoses in the future.
Hopefully, we won't need to call Corey again, but if our appliances go haywire, he'll be the first call I make.

"I met Nick after another local outfit fixed the main shut off valve in my basement. The fix was needed after discovering that my water bill had unexpectedly jumped from previous usage and in the steps to determine if there was a leak inside or outside of the house. Because the main shut off was faulty that was the first needed step. The first plumber did indeed replace the main shut off inside the house for 550$. Being a first time homeowner and not being a plumber by trade I assumed that the cost was industry standard. After the shut off was repaired the plumber confirmed that the meter was still spinning and that the mystery leak was outside, meaning that I would need a new water main at a cost of 5300$ of which they would deduct the 550$ we paid for the shut off to be replaced. The price tag was way beyond what we could financially swallow with out a second opinion. Thats how I met Nick. He came out the same day to access and bid the water main replacement. 2775$ was the bid he gave and even apologized that it wasn’t less given the short distance to the house but that there are minimums on equipment which I completely understood. Nick was very honest and upfront about what needed to be done. I asked about a “re-plumb” of the entire house which was being very strongly pitched by the other two outfits that I took bids from. Nick asked, “why, is something broken or not working well?” In fact we don’t have any notable water or plumbing needs or problems. That exchange demonstrated that Nick wasn’t at my house to get my money, he was there to do an honest job and help me sort out the problem at hand. Nick did an incredible job with prep to protect the inside of my house and the clean up was as if he’d never been there. On parting Nick even said I could text him plumbing pictures/questions in the future and he’d help triage the situation for me. That kind of service comes from values that we should all aspire too. Nick is a now a permanent in my contacts list as Nick the plumber and now if someone asks if I know a plumber I can enthusiastically say, “yeah, I know a guy.”"

FAQs for appliance (microwave oven) installation and replacement projects in Wilsonville, OR

A pro can finish the job in one to three hours. Countertop models are the quickest, but built-in, drawer, and over-the-range units take longer because the installer may need to run a new outlet, modify cabinets, or add venting. Any add-ons can push the timeline closer to the three-hour mark. Hiring a licensed installer ensures the wiring is safe and the appliance operates at peak performance.

Because an over-the-range microwave doubles as a range hood, it needs proper venting. You can opt for a recirculating model that filters and recirculates air back into the kitchen, or a ducted unit that exhausts outdoors. Are you unsure which route suits your cooking style? Ask your installer for guidance before making a purchase.

Only microwaves labeled “over-the-range” have the built-in venting and lighting that’s necessary for safe, code-compliant use above a stove. Countertop models don’t have those safeguards. Before you swipe your card, have a licensed microwave installer confirm you’re choosing the right unit for the space and ensure compliance with local codes.

It’s best not to install a countertop microwave in your cabinets. Countertop models aren’t designed for use in an enclosed cabinet, and blocking those vents can trap moisture or even create a fire hazard. A built-in or drawer microwave is designed for tight spaces. Run your plans by an installer to make sure you’re buying the right style for the spot.

You don’t need an electrician if the outlet already meets the microwave’s power needs and sits in the right spot. In that case, you’re good to go ahead with the installation. If the outlet is undersized, outdated, or too far away, hire a licensed electrician to install a new one and ensure everything is code-compliant.

With routine care, most microwaves last between five and 10 years. To help them reach their maximum lifespan, wipe up spills immediately, wash the grease filter periodically, avoid using metal dishware, and close the door gently. Those simple habits reduce malfunctions and keep the appliance running smoothly for the long haul.
