"I couldn’t be any happier about this experience! Freddy was prompt, courteous, professional, and friendly. It was a pleasure working with him. He listened very carefully to understand what we wanted repaired. Then he proceeded to complete the job in an excellent manner. He did a great final cleanup, leaving the job site even cleaner than it was to begin with. We will definitely call him back when we need him again. If I could give him more than five stars I would!"

"During a very busy time for them due a recent wind storm, they were the first to provide a quote. This helped to get something to my insurance company and get the ball rolling. Other contractors either did not return my calls, phones were turned off, or were a lot further out to even give me a quote. The quote was reasonable and the work was excellent. They even helped me pull out a tree stump that was not part of the estimate. The extra hand was a huge help. They got the job done fast and did a good job of cleaning up. I will hire them again."

"This was a first time project for us, installing a deck. We were looking for a reasonable and reliable contractor that provided quality work, we didnt want any surprises or delays... Hiring MRI Construction was the best decision we made!. Shannon and Dawna were very professional and well skilled at their job. They both provided excellent service and quality work. They went above and beyond what was expected. They were always on time and efficient and completed the work as promised. We will definitely have them back for any future projects."

"This job was a lot more than drywall, but the other options didn't fit. The crew was on time, careful, and conscientious. But best of all they did a great job. We had a roof leak and needed the trim pulled and drywall cut out to make sure no mold or dry rot wood. The trim is pretty high end in this house, and they did a great job removing and restoring everything so it looks new again. Would certainly recommend them."

Customers say: Quality work

"I was on the clock from the time John m arrived, which of course included questions about various projects throughout the house By the time he could address the ones discussed there was very little remaining time to actually do the needed jobs I am not knowledgeable about anything for the home and many of the projects I was not familiar with to even purchased needed install materials I feel that time should be allotted for explanations, even if lengthy, to help the homeowner. I was also misinformed about the level of electrical work that could be done and told that a "chandelierinstall should be no problem" Jim was lovely and I would hire him again but $550 for only a few things, is not value for of projects vs cost and he was literally in a computer generated timer Michelle 971-804-2227"

"Scott was very personalable from the time I talked to him on the phone to our face to face meeting. It's like we had been friends for years. He looked at my mobilehome and told me exactly what he would do to make my home look nice. I haven't hired him yet as he can't paint until we get better weather. I was very impressed with Scott. I will be calling him to answer a few more questions before I actually hire him but he is my frontrunner. I liked him a lot."

FAQs for storm door installation projects in Wilsonville, OR

For mobile homes, look for a lightweight storm door designed specifically for manufactured housing. A slimmer frame eases installation and reduces added stress on the doorway, while removable glass or screen panels allow you to switch between airflow and complete protection in minutes. The result is solid weather defense without unnecessary weight and a door that remains easy to operate season after season.

A well-installed and well-maintained storm door can add modest value by improving curb appeal, increasing security, and reducing energy loss. If the door is faded, dented, or hanging loosely, those benefits disappear—and may even harm first impressions. Professional installation ensures the door seal is correctly aligned and keeps the hardware in place, allowing the upgrade to deliver both visual and practical benefits that buyers notice.

Most storm doors last 25 years, and high-end models, when properly cared for, can reach 50 years. Lifespan depends on the frame material, glass quality, and the amount of punishment the door receives from wind, rain, or sun. Regular cleaning, fresh weatherstripping, and prompt repairs keep hinges tight and glass secure, helping the door reach its maximum lifespan.

Allow three to five hours to set a standard pre-hung storm door if the opening is in good condition. If you need to widen the frame or repair wood rot, expect the job to take a whole day to complete. A seasoned installer can complete the job faster and ensure the door sits square, seals tightly, and operates smoothly, saving time that often outweighs the DIY time commitment.

Most single exterior doorways can accommodate a storm door, provided the frame dimensions match those of the new unit. Patio and sliding glass doors are the main exceptions because their tracks won’t support the extra door. If you’re unsure about clearances or hinge placement, consider bringing in a door installer to measure the opening and recommend any necessary adjustments for a secure fit.
