"I don?t have money for services I was tricked into getting. I will Never use R3 again and I'm letting the world know. A supervisor, Anthony Segura, came to my house while was having a leak from my garbage disposal repaired and one pipe replaced under. That costs me almost $900. He told me that my insurance was going to cover the water mitigation and talked me into having that horrible dehumidifier machine placed in my house for a week. I asked repeatedly to have that machine removed after the 2rd day because it was freaking my dogs. Anthony and the technician refused saying it would affect the insurance claim (cost over $1,600). I was lied to! I was told that if my insurance did not approve my claim, he would gather the equipment and there would be no charge. ?Don?t worry? he said and to trust him. My insurance DENIED the claim and I am stuck with a big bill. Advice; Do Not Allow Them To Start Work on your home until it is approved by your insurance company."

"Efficient AC, Electric & Plumbing, recently replaced my HVAC system. Brian Moran, the sales person, was friendly, knowledgable and gave me a quick estimate and install time. Tony and Thomas who did the installation were professional, friendly and went the extra mile on a couple of non-related AC issues. I would highly recommend them!"

"We are not the type of people that write a review without feeling the necessity to do it. Because this is of interest to potential new clients, I feel it is imperative to write this review. To begin, the company sent a new and inexperienced technician, we had to tell technician to please call the main office to look at the notes from the previous technician since the issue that they took care of in the past arose again. Our tankless heater is high on our property wall, so we provided a ladder. Technician never climbed the ladder, but suggested that in the future, we should hire them to move the tankless heater to a place that was easier for them to look at (in the past no one had complained about this). It was clear the technician was being lazy and wanting to leave, but he did say we needed a flush and that the office would send a quote afterwards. When we first called Mustang Plumbing, they told us that the service fee would be $225 and that it would be credited if we decided to move forward with, whatever service the technician found that would be needed. Mustang Plumbing quoted 600+ to flush the heater, but when my wife called, they conveniently said that they would only credit us half of the initial service fee – investigation fee. I personally replaced the showerhead and the issue was resolved. My wife spoke to them and they were being rude. When she (Courtney) tried to triangulate the call, they had hung up. I then called them directly and while I was speaking to them, the manager got on the line and basically told me that the only issue here is that we need to pay the service fee and that if we would’ve agreed to do the flush, we would’ve gotten 100% of the initial fee credited. I stopped her and let her know that that was not what her team had told us. Her team had told my wife that only 50% credit. As I’m on the phone, she proceeds to start talking to multiple people around her and I can hear them trying to figure this out and what went wrong. I offered her to pay only what was going to be credited and reminded her that the technician did not do anything and that he concluded we needed a service that wasn’t even needed. I hung up the call and 10 minutes later they charge my card for $225 (the full service fee). As a family that tries to make educated decisions and hire, trustworthy companies, this is not the type of company that should be hired for any service. They are not trustworthy, they are clearly not organized and do not communicate with each other. They employ inexperienced people to service the community."

"Scheduled time was 10am, but they arrived at 3pm with no contact. Job was fairly straightforward but the plumber was clearly slow-rolling it and took about double the time it should have. Plumber damaged the outdoor counter and intentionally tried to hide it, so I didn't discover it until after they left."

FAQs for plumbing installation for a remodel or addition projects in Wimberley, TX

Adding bathroom plumbing to a detached garage starts with the basic line installation cost of $900 to $1,300. On top of this base expense, you'll need to budget for each fixture. A toilet costs  $250 to $550, sinks cost $150 to $800, and a shower or bathtub costs $400 to $1,900. The project will also require ventilation, moisture-resistant materials, and possibly electrical work. Remember that these costs reflect only the plumbing aspects—additional construction, finishing, and permitting expenses will apply to complete a functional bathroom space.

While certain aspects of garage renovation might be suitable for DIY enthusiasts, plumbing installation requires professional expertise. Connecting to water and sewer systems demands specialized knowledge and equipment, and improper installation can result in severe water damage, code violations, and potential health hazards. Most municipalities require permits for plumbing modifications, and these often stipulate that licensed professionals must perform work. Consider limiting your involvement to simpler tasks like painting or basic finishing work.

The timeframe for adding plumbing to a detached garage spans one to three days for the actual plumbing work. However, this represents only the active installation period. The complete project timeline must account for planning, obtaining permits (which can take weeks depending on your locality), coordinating multiple contractors if needed, and addressing any unexpected challenges that arise during installation. Weather conditions can also impact excavation and outdoor connection work.

Adding plumbing to a detached garage will likely increase your property taxes. Tax assessors consider plumbing an improvement that enhances property value and functionality. The specific tax impact varies by location and project scope. Converting a garage into living space with plumbing facilities can trigger significant reassessment in many jurisdictions. Before proceeding with your project, consult your local tax assessor's office to understand the potential tax implications and factor this ongoing expense into your decision-making process.
