"Scheduled a time for Shawn to come out and give us an estimate for the work. He showed up right on time and measured everything up. A couple of days later he emailed me the quote which we thought was a good price for the work we were asking to be done. He even had asked whether we would ever need to get large pieces of furniture out of our back door and down our back steps. When I said yes, he recommended that the main railing panel be removable so that with four bolts we could take it out. Fantastic idea! We paid 50% down which secured our place in their production process. <br /> A few weeks later I got a call from their installers who said they were at our house ready to do the install. Problem was that we lock our gates so they couldn't get in. I told them that had I known that they were going to be there on that day I would have either left the gate unlocked or worked from home. He said they don't normally tell homeowners when they go to do the install, which I still think is a bit weird.  <br /> Anyway, they were able to lift everything over the gate and the railings looks AMAZING! They are top quality and look so good. We only ever had pretty crappy chain link fence style railings before, so to now have custom-made iron ones is a real treat. I would definitely use Shawn again and would recommend them to anyone else. <br />"

"Fantastic--Alex is prompt and does excellent work. I had all of the very old window screens in my home replaced, including one screen that needed to be made from scratch due to a bent frame. A few years ago, Alex made a new frame for a screened patio door with great results, so I asked him to redo the screens on the windows this year. Alex arrived promptly, removed the window screens, replaced the screens, made a new frame and screen for one window, and then put the window screens back in. He worked efficiently, is friendly, and his price was more than reasonable. "Scott originally gave a bid on exterior painting of siding, trim, and windows of a 1-1/2 story house and garage. Last year I had 4 painters submit bids and Scott's was the lowest. I got his name from 2 work colleages who were both very pleased with his work. So, I gave him the bid last fall. As these things go, once the job began this spring it expanded to include replacing more cedar siding boards than expected, rebuilding the rotted out pillars supporting a porch roof, and re-doing the color after one side of the house was nearly finished! The entire process-with delays for 21 days of rain--took more than a month. Throughout this process, Scott and Luke and the rest of the Colorstyle team were good natured, open to suggestions / concerns, and provided high-quality workmanship and timeliness. They were always willing to do and quot;one more thingand quot; to improve the appearance of my home. Today I received the final bill and was truly surprised to see how low given the care they have taken with the job. <br /> They even cleaned up some bird-poop on my fence which I thought was paint. OK ... there was a little razzing about my not being able to tell bird poop from paint, but they did it!! They're terrific. <br /> I've already hired them to do some interior painting this summer."

"The job went very well. Barak, the company owner, came to our house to see the deck, evaluate everything, tell me what was needed, and give me a quote. He told me that the deck floor boards needed to be replaced, which I had already expected. Barak told me about all the options, their related costs, when they could start, and how long it would take. He started on time and made progress without delay. When Barak found that there was additional rotting of the stringers supporting the stairs (from the patio up to the deck) he pointed this out to me and we discussed what was needed and what choices there were. He was very accommodating with regard to getting the additional work done in a timely manner. He spent the extra time required to get additional materials, the additional time to rebuild the stairs, and ended up charging me a very reasonable additional cost when this is the kind of thing other contractors take advantage of. All things considered, I?m very pleased with how the whole job went and have a lot of trust in Barak and New Again Deck Renewal."

"We worked with Ron and Laura for a few months in planning our design.  Our itnention was to create a second story master suite, with ideally a small second bedroom.  Ron and Laura took our ideas and worked through not only second story layouts, but alternatives in the absement layout that might acheive our needs as well.  In the end, the second story layout worked best, and the final design is better than we ever could have imagined.  Laura is the ultimate project manager.  Our project required a variance with the City of MInneapolis.  Laura was amazing in dealing with the issues with the city, and actually recommended that we expand our remodel from our original intentions.  The recommendation from Laura expanded the square footage of our addition at minimal cost to us.  After demolition, and prior to installation of our roof, there was a rain storm.  No matter how many tarps you put on the roof, nobody can prevent water from coming in.  Ron was over almost hourly on a Saturday adjusting the tarps, raking water off the top of the tarps, and making sure the house stayed dry.  Contractors I've worked with in the past would have let the rain take its toll and deal with the consequences on Monday.  However, it is evident that Ron and Laura have a deep commitment to doing the job well no matter what it takes.  During bathroom tiling my wife and I were on vacation.  Laura communicated with us via email and made some design suggestions based upon how the tiling was going.  We went with her suggestion and could not have been happier.  Her sense of design and her excellent project management skills are the ultimate compliment to Ron's architectural background and attention to detail.  I would recommend them to any of my friends or family, and we plan on using them for future projects. <br />"

"After seeing their product at the Minneapolis Home & Garden show we were convinced that this was the right product for our porch improvement work. The guys from EZ-Screen brought samples to our home to help us select frame color and installation method. They took careful measurements of all of the window and door openings and put our order in motion. A few weeks later our windows and door were delivered. <br /> <br /> We did this work at the same time we had some exterior siding work done by another contractor. We arranged to have that contractor do the actual installation of the EZ-Screen product. The rep from EZ-Screen came out to our site when the installation started to ensure that our contractor understood how to properly install the windows and door.
