"Simply put, you will NOT find a better, more honest, more helpful, more easy-to-work-with, reasonably priced contractor than John Lee and his crew at J & K Home Improvement & Restoration! We had a "complicated" set of circumstances when our home was damaged by a storm, last winter. The insurance company sent out an estimator to assess the damage and, after the company recommended J & K Home Improvement & Restoration, I was introduced to John Lee. I eventually learned that John also does estimates for a variety of insurance companies (because his company is so well regarded), and he patiently listened as I described the nuances associated with our house. During our initial consultation, he was able to clearly describe all of the steps that would be necessary and answer all of our questions. Long story short, not only was John able to address EVERY single concern and request that we had regarding the eventual repairs to the house (including roof, siding, and a window upgrade that would have cost much more if we had done it at a later time), but he spent plenty of extra time making sure that everything we had talked about was addressed to our 100% satisfaction! He was also able to persuade the insurance company to cover more complete repairs than was originally specified by the first adjuster! In addition, when we had an electrical "hiccup" associated with all the pounding on the walls, John quickly sent an expert electrician to locate and correct the problem. He absolutely could have passed those charges on to us because the failure wasn't due to any mistake on the part of his crew but, instead, he picked up the unanticipated expense himself. It was truly a pleasure to work with John! "We are extremely happy with the work done by the crew at Professional Home Improvement. It looks great! We’ve already received many comments from our neighbors on how nice the house looks. They basically replaced everything on the house exterior but the roof and windows. Mal Graifman worked with us on the design and gave us excellent suggestions on all the trim work. We went with Alside Charter Oak premium vinyl plus R3.6 foil faced insulation and Tyvek house wrap. The soffit, fascia, gutters and trim are aluminum, with the corners capped in vinyl complementary to the siding. They paid special attention to ensuring the front bay windows look fantastic. Two new raised panel AFCO Industries Acadian style columns support the porch. A half-round garage attic vent was installed to complement the half-round master bedroom window. The crew was very professional and courteous. They did a wonderful job going above and beyond to make everything look good, including building out the facing on the front porch roof a little so the profile matches the new columns. The price was reasonable for the quality of work provided. We strongly recommend them."
