After he was unsuccessful in finding pre-fab windows, he proposed fabricating them with energy-efficient glazing and painted hardwood frames. He fully assembled them in his shop. Installation required using one helper for various tasks, and took approximately two days for each set of two windows the exterior trim required some additional material and a repeat visit for more coats of paint.
