"I recently had my shingle roof replaced and I?m very happy with the results. The team was professional, punctual, and completed the job efficiently. The quality of the work is excellent, and the new roof looks great. They kept the work area clean and communicated well throughout the process. "Miro and his entire crew at M Craft LLC installed vinyl siding and new gutters on my house. I am thrilled to have hired them. The house looks great, completely transformed from what it used to be. It is the work of true craftsmanship, with not a single detail left unattended. They worked tirelessly to finish the project on time, arriving early in the morning and cleaning up every night before going home. I am already thinking of hiring them for other projects."

"We contracted Exteriors of CT to do a siding replacement. Our house had cedar shakes that were continually peeling and we also had some wood rot in places. Chris Luby was one of the first people we contacted because of the great reviews from the past. His response was quick and personal. We did an initial walk around of the house and he pointed out what his recommendations were and it was within my expectations. His quote was quick, competitive and fair. We received quotes from two other firms and Exteriors got the job. One thing that was a huge differentiator was that Chris didn't nickel and dime us on the job. We negotiated a few changes to the initial quote and the job got underway. The crew that did the job, Alix and Jose, were hard workers and their work product was excellent. They were great to work with and were always responsive to any changes that we made along the way. The quality of the final product is above our expectations (and our expectations were high!). We highly recommend Exteriors of CT."
We added a new roof and windows to make this an even more beautiful home.

"Extremely well! Troy is very detailed oriented, so he makes sure not to cut corners. Before we found Troy, we had other box store installers refuse to take up the old laminate, while acknowledging the likelihood of bumps and bubbles without pulling up. Troy didn't flinch! He knew it was best to remove the old stuff and start with new sub-flooring, even if it meant the job would be more difficult for him. Troy finished in a timely fashion, and it's beautiful...no bumps or bubbles!"

FAQs for sunroom or patio enclosure building service projects in New Haven, CT

A sunroom is a fully enclosed space with walls of windows or glass. It allows you to enjoy the outdoors from the comfort of the indoors, protected from bugs and weather. It functions as an additional room in your home. A covered patio extends your home's roof over an outdoor area, providing shade and shelter while remaining open to the fresh air. It's a great way to enjoy outdoor living while being protected from sun and rain.

Adding screens to your porch is the most budget-friendly way to enclose it. Screening keeps out insects and debris while letting you enjoy the breeze and outdoor ambiance. It's less expensive than installing full walls or glass enclosures and doesn't usually require permits, making it an efficient way to upgrade your porch.

If you're transforming your porch into a fully enclosed living space like a sunroom, you'll likely need a sturdy foundation, such as a reinforced concrete slab, to support the structure. For a simple screened-in porch, you might be able to use the existing floor and support posts without additional foundation work. It's best to consult a professional to determine what's needed for your project.

An enclosed porch can be considered a living space if it's fully enclosed with solid walls and windows, has a proper roof, and includes heating and cooling systems. It should also have direct access from inside your home. When these criteria are met, the space becomes an extension of your home's livable area.
