"Following discovery and repair of a roof leak, I needed to have my existing attic insulation removed, and new insulation installed. I received several quotes, and decided to choose Prudent based on David's timely and professional communications, honest appraisal of what the job would entail, and competitive pricing. David and his team did an excellent job throughout the process. They arrived on time, used drop cloths and plastic covers to keep everything clean, walked me through the process and progress, and shared pictures of areas I couldn't easily see or get to myself. At the end of the job, they thoroughly cleaned up all debris and left the house and property as they had found it. We discovered a minor issue later that evening, and David sent a member of the team out to fix it the next day. Excellent communication and work - very happy with the end result, and would hire again in a heartbeat."

"DMV Insulations is a great company to work with. The company focuses on your personal needs, always on time, and great customer service! Mark was able to answer any questions I had, and provided me with useful information. I would recommend this company to anyone with attic insulation needs."

"Summary: The Comfy team did a great job b/c they know what they are doing however, they are not without faults. Work Completed: Full crawlspace escalation and turning a vented attic into an unvented attic by adding CC spray from on the roof deck. Time frame: July 13-17 2020 Results: We are only a month out from the work being completed, so the analysis is on-going but here are the numbers so far. My Aug electricity bill was down 26% in real dollars from July. That reduction is in spite of the fact that Aug had a 31% higher average Cooling Degree Days (base Temp 70F - [*** Link removed ***] In addition, the first week of my Aug billing cycle included this work. Again, this is very early on but that is a promising start. Other benefits include less variability in house temperature. Before I would see a temperature difference of 5 degrees Fahrenheit between my bottom and top floors. Now they are no more than 1.5 degrees apart (the thermostat is on the lowest level). This creates an overall more pleasant living environment. So while I’m looking at a return on investment that stretches out past 10 years, during that time it’ll be a more comfortable home to live in. Challenges: My only complaint is that there doesn’t seem to be a solid quality control program. To be fair, I have high standards of work quality. Especially when I’m paying for it. Comfy clearly understands the science and best practices. It’s always a challenge translating that over to the real world, which is messy. With that said I felt like I was the one that had to be pointing out the areas of poor workmanship. It sure would have been nice to feel like that quality control was being done for me. Now for the good news, Comfy is correcting all the issues I have pointed out (scheduled but not all completed). Bottom Line: Comfy has a talented team of people, who know the work. They will do a good job at a fair price. But don’t let the sleek marketing and science lull you into a false sense of security, make sure you get what you paid for."

"After my call to Discount Energy Services, I knew who was coming and when to evaluate my attic insulation. The estimate was prepared on-site with pricing. The workers arrived and knew exactly what they were to accomplish, which they confirmed with me. They prepared the entire path with clean drop cloths and created a plastic drape around my attic stairs. The foreman was glad to explain any aspect of the procedure. My attic was upgraded to R-49 and the difference is notable."

"Founders Insulation did a very good job on installing insulation in ceilings! They were careful, courteous and cleaned up."

"After researching and obtaining quotes from a number of companies, I selected The Fifth Fuel to air seal and insulate my attic (blown-in cellulose), cantilevers, and rim-joist. From the initial consultation with Adam to email follow-up, the project and my options were clearly explained. When I asked about putting a higher R-value in my attic, Adam provided the price but explained why it didn't make sense for me. I appreciated that he didn't try to oversell me. The proposal laid out everything they would be doing. The cost was reasonable. It wasn't the lowest bid, but was less than 50% of some other bids. The day of installation, the crew arrived a bit early. Throughout the install they were professional, kind, and clean. They protected the inside and outside of our house and vacuumed afterward. They conducted a blower door test at the end to quantify the difference made by air sealing. Within two hours of them leaving, we've already noticed a difference in our comfort and our A/C is not even running half the time it was before."

"I have to restrain myself from going overboard recommending Northern Virginia Insulation. Of the responses supplied by Angie's List, NoVa Insulation was able to schedule the first in-home appointment. They asked for a half hour to assess the opportunity. (Another company wanted to set up a 2-hour appointment with both owners present, which looked too much like an invitation to a sales pitch, so we passed on them.) Jeff, the owner, arrived when expected, took only as much time as he needed to gauge the materials and effort involved and work up a quote. He was pleasant, focused and professional, providing a price without pressure or drama. His crew was able to perform the work within a week, arriving on time and taking extraordinary care to avoid damage or leaving debris. All-in-all the experience was first-rate, from responsiveness, to price (best of all the quotes), to quality of work. If you can get them, do so. Highly recommended!"

"Home Genius Exterior just completed phenomenal work at my property!! Windows and insulation done. â … Top notch service from the consultation, to the schedule work, the start of the tear down, the installing and the final clean up. Highly recommend this company for your home service. Thank you for the hard work and service!"

"From the start of the estimate with Jon to the insulation project with the Team Leader Carlos, the project went well as expected. Jon was very professional and knowledgeable. He did not try to up-sale services I did not need, and I appreciate his honesty. Jon went over the appropriate insulation for the attic and the garage ceiling to bring our home to a comfortable level. Carlos and his crew did a great job communicating with me while performing the insulation. Carlos immediately notified me of a leak he discovered from the attic fan and temporarily paused the work on the attic and moved to the garage ceiling insulation while I addressed the leak. As a customer, the only comments/suggestions I would give to the crew is: (1) make sure they keep their tools and materials off the lawn (2) make sure the plastic wraps from the materials they use and trash does not get blown away to the neighbor's yard/driveway, and finally, (3) ask the homeowner which bathroom the crew can use while on-site. Overall, I am very happy with Comfenergy and their service. In fact, I have already recommended them to a curious neighbor."

"Long time from discovering roof damage due to hail to having the roof replaced, but SJR was there for the entire process working with my insurance provider and keeping me updated. Once the approval came in and the weather permitted, the roof was replaced (had the gutters done also) very professionally and very quickly! The job was completed as advertised and as expected. The follow-up inspection was completed in the same professional manner and any concerns/questions I had were addressed and/or answered. Thank you SJR to giving me the piece of mind by having a roof that will last longer than I expect to be around!"
