"Work done in August 2017 Solar attic fan (under $800, before 30% federal tax credit) and skylight "solar tube" in an upstairs hallway (under $1000, before credit and including light and night light). We are very pleased with all phases of the job, as are friends who recently used AS for new roof, gutter guards, skylights. Each installation took no more than 90 minutes. There are no organizations; there are just people. And top to bottom, we were pleased with the owner (Rich Lindsay), the salesman (David Jones), the office mgr Erika, and - this is important - the young man who did the installations of the fan and the skylight tube. They are prompt, helpful, professional, and they clean up after the job. They explain things thoroughly, and I trust having them in our house."

Initial consultation was professional, friendly with lots of great info on windows, and recommended window sample I could see and touch. Installation supervisor explained what they were going to do and estimated time; supervisor did outside walk around after and showed how they caulked/sealed; and inside showed me how to work windows for cleaning. Crew worked quickly and efficiently; clearly knew exactly what they were doing! Actually gave me 2 crews since they were a few hours late due to rain delay on previous day’s project! HCR Project manager stopped by to ask how things were going and tell me what to expect after install to get warranty initiated. The windows look and work great. That struck us as much too high. We then approached JW, which had done work for us in the past, and got an estimate that struck us as reasonable. But to get their top tile installer, Cesar Miranda, we had to wait nearly two months. We decided to wait and are glad we did. When he arrived, he brought three different grout and gave us our choice. He then did an outstanding installation."

"I contacted references prior to interview/site inspection -  all reference were very happy with contractor, but none of them had any insurance work done.  
Interview was favorable except the contractor did verify that he does not do much if any insurance work.  
The real problem was the inspection of the damage and his repair strategy.  First of all, despite the fact that his office insisted that I provide them a copy of the insurance company estimate ? he had not even looked at it prior to the appointment.  He had not read the detailed engineers report that outline the corrective action needed.  
His suggested approach to repair the damage did not follow the engineer?s recommendation.  Needless to say I did not have this contractor provide an estimate.  
Based on his references, he does great work for remodeling where he is in control of all aspects of the job.  Would not recommend for insurance work were he would be required to work with the insurance company / engineers in meeting recommended repair strategies."
