"This is a second time I hired Lazaro because he did a superb job on pavement. This time, a bit hesitating to call him because it's landscaping work rather than hardscaping. However they did a great job removing weeds, adding top soil and planting sod and bushes with mulch on front yard. On side yard, they removed weeds, added top soil and planted seeds. "Brian and his crew were absolutely incredible. We just moved into a home in Takoma Park, MD and our front and back yard were in need of some major work. The backyard was a complete jungle. It was extremely overgrown with weeds, brush, poison ivy, and dead/unattractive trees. Brian's crew manually dug out everything and removed all of the dead trees as well as their roots. They also cut back a ton of bamboo and then laid mulch down in the entire yard. Brian and his crew were able to start within days after getting the final quote. Brian is an extremely reasonable, knowledgable, and caring person. In addition to his landscaping knowledge, he is also a "master gardener." We had no clue about what to do next, so he offered to draw out some sketches of designs (free of charge) as well as ideas for plants and flowers that would be suitable for our particular yard. "When they did the edges, I didn’t want them to put the bricks there. I wanted them to put a trench to separate where the grass started and the flower bed. I asked them to do it because I wanted it to look more professional and not like something crazy I did that wasn’t straight. It looks very crooked like something I would have done. The front they did well. I told him and he came back out and let him off the hook. He acknowledgeable that he could have done a better job. They didn’t’ put the extensions on the down spout far enough. So now I need to re-dig and make them lower or add more top soil above. They didn’t do a professional job as I would have liked. They were supposed to spray and a couple of days later I noticed that none of the vegetation was dying. I called back and they acknowledge it and came back out. They were responsive.    I tried to use them again but they were not responsive."

"I contacted Mr. Garrett the morning of May 1, 2014 to get a quote on some landscaping. and left a voice mail..he called me back within ten minutes.  He said he would come by the next day and give me an estimate.  When he came by he told me what he would do and gave me and estimate.   Previously, someone else had given me an estimate but after my down payment, I was told they couldn't do it for a month.  That is when I contacted Mr. Garrett, I needed the job done asap.  My first question to Mr. Garrett was when he could get to it because I didn't want to wait a month.  He stated he could come by late that afternoon, since the job wasn't too big, to complete the job.  A few hours later, he came back with an employee and together they mulched, dug and planted my yard, along with trimming my Japanese Maple Bush.  He did an awesome job.  I would recommend him for any thing.  I even happened to mention needing the deck around my pool and I am going to get a quote for that too soon.
