"Matt was very courteous and professional. He looked at the slider and told me he could easily solve my problem, but then informed me they had a minimum service charge of (if I remember correctly) $205.00. This was not relayed to me when I made the appointment. I was quite surprised and there was no way this small job was a $205.00 job. He said he would check all my doors and fix any issues he found while he was here. I reluctantly agreed since I really wanted my door fixed. He did find other issues, for instance, my front door. We had a new front door installed during a remodel a couple of years ago, and the door sweep was not adjusted properly, leaving about a 3/4 inch gap that we were unaware of. Matt closed that gap, and also chiseled out the lock mechanism in our door jamb, as it was not locking smoothly and easily. By the time Matt left, all our doors were working smoothly, just the way they were meant to and I was a happy customer."

The installers, Erik and Luis, were very professional and did a great installation and clean up. Would recommend in a heartbeat."

"Jason was recommended to me from a close friend. had a roof that needed to get done and a door installed on my shed. initial meeting went well and he has been in the business for quite awhile. nice to work with and went over all the details, including options. added a few extra things in before the multi stage project took place. was well pleased with how it all went together. Both roofs looks great and the shed looks wonderful with the new additions. will work with F & F again when the time is right. Definitely recommended."

"The experience with Josh and Bill, from initial estimate to installation, was excellent. There were no surprises regarding the cost and timeline. Josh was available to answer all my questions. Plus he sent me my invoices and receipts in a timely manner. The installation was flawless and my family is very satisfied with the results. I would use One Call again and highly recommend them."

"We really like David. Such a hard worker! He had so much going on at the time, and didn't need anything else added to his workload. Despite an injury, exhaustion, and circumstances not under his control, he communicated and assured us that our door project would get done well and as soon as he was able. We recommend giving him a raise to show him how valuable he is to your company, and to compensate for the extremely long hours required to complete all of his assigned projects. All in all, David was very friendly and professional. It was a pleasure getting to know him and we wish him the best in the future."

FAQs for storm door installation projects in Woodinville, WA

For mobile homes, look for a lightweight storm door designed specifically for manufactured housing. A slimmer frame eases installation and reduces added stress on the doorway, while removable glass or screen panels allow you to switch between airflow and complete protection in minutes. The result is solid weather defense without unnecessary weight and a door that remains easy to operate season after season.

A well-installed and well-maintained storm door can add modest value by improving curb appeal, increasing security, and reducing energy loss. If the door is faded, dented, or hanging loosely, those benefits disappear—and may even harm first impressions. Professional installation ensures the door seal is correctly aligned and keeps the hardware in place, allowing the upgrade to deliver both visual and practical benefits that buyers notice.

Most storm doors last 25 years, and high-end models, when properly cared for, can reach 50 years. Lifespan depends on the frame material, glass quality, and the amount of punishment the door receives from wind, rain, or sun. Regular cleaning, fresh weatherstripping, and prompt repairs keep hinges tight and glass secure, helping the door reach its maximum lifespan.

Allow three to five hours to set a standard pre-hung storm door if the opening is in good condition. If you need to widen the frame or repair wood rot, expect the job to take a whole day to complete. A seasoned installer can complete the job faster and ensure the door sits square, seals tightly, and operates smoothly, saving time that often outweighs the DIY time commitment.

Most single exterior doorways can accommodate a storm door, provided the frame dimensions match those of the new unit. Patio and sliding glass doors are the main exceptions because their tracks won’t support the extra door. If you’re unsure about clearances or hinge placement, consider bringing in a door installer to measure the opening and recommend any necessary adjustments for a secure fit.
