Previously, another contractor had installed a drain and a shallow cement topping, but it did not work. With heavy rains (2/2023), mold had returned. J-G Handyman's approach involved significant waterproofing -- removing six feet of soil, laying a wall-blanket, sealing walls, replacing soil and drain pipe, cementing top, and a final top-sealing. Inside, masonry was treated and painted. J-G Handyman's fee stayed true to the proposal estimate range, work was completed on time, and the contractor was accessible throughout.
