"Hackney Carpet was recommended to us by our realtor.  We met both Jeff and Donna, who were personable and professional.  Requested a quote for removing our 1974 glued-down carpet in our basement and on stairs leading to basement.  Jeff brought samples to our house, and recommended a few carpets, based on our color and texture desires, as well as the fact that our basement is damp.  He gave us an estimate on the spot.  We felt like the price was good, so we paid a 25% downpayment.  We scheduled installation for 8 days later.  Juan was the lead installer (3 installers, total).  The team was prompt, polite, professional, and fast! "Excellent!! From the minute I spoke with Rob to the time he left I could not have asked for a better experience! Rob was very professional, polite and on time both visits. He's also a very nice person. We had a leak fixed in the basement which required pulling up the carpet across the front wall of the house. The tack strips were removed and the padding was torn away without regard to putting everything back in place. Rob came out the 1st day and put down the new tack strips. On the 2nd visit he installed the new padding across the front of the house; then stretched the carpet and secured it to the tack strips. He did a fantastic job as I can't tell a difference from before it was pulled back to fix the water leak. I *highly* recommend his service and will definitely call him again if we're in need of additional carpet repair."
