"Had some back-up water sewage in the bathroom. I called Kevin, he came right over and assessed the problem. He opened up the traps and cleared it out. In addition, he used a camera to make sure the main line to the street was clear. I was able to look in the camera as he inspected it and he freely answered questions. Kevin was polite, punctual and knowledgeable. Previous crew from a different company that came 2-3 years ago for the same problem didn’t even open up the sewer traps and only cleaned the main-line. "I'm a new home moaner (lol) but I do most of the repairs for my two-family. Unfortunately I don't speak boiler and so when both my boilers went down in the middle of the night on the coldest night of the year I knew I had to call a professional. It was Friday the 13th and I called two local HVAC companies, both literally right around the corner from my home with one actually doing work 2 doors down from me at the time, and was told I'd have to wait until Monday, December 16th! Unfortunately we were about to be hit with a major snow storm that night and the temperatures were in the single digits. Space heaters freak me out so I took a chance and logged onto Angie's List to see if there was anyone locally who could service the boilers ASAP! I called 3 companies and was blown off because I did not have a service contract with them. I became so desperate I called my local gas company because they offered boiler service contracts but when I looked at what was covered and what was NOT covered, my problem (and it seemed EVERY problem that a boiler may have) was under the NOT covered portion. So back to Angie's list I went and called Riley's as a last resort. No one answered but I left a message. Ten minutes later a pleasant gentleman called me back and said he would send someone out at 8:30 the very next morning. I agreed but secretly I just KNEW no one was going to show up:( Well at 8:26 a.m my mom woke me up saying that Brad from Riley's was downstairs and I've never gotten dressed so fast in my life. I couldn't believe it! He came in, asked me what was wrong, got boiler number one started in 2 seconds (Really?!) and saw that boiler number 2 had a bad expansion tank and release valve. He went to his truck, got the parts, replaced them in 5 minutes, started the the boiler, saw water pouring from the boiler return pipe, went back to his truck got the new pipe, valve and torch. replaced that in 2 minutes, fired the boiler again, saw no water leaking, cleaned up and went to write up my invoice. By the way it was snowing like crazy already. When he returned I just KNEW (there I go again...lol) I was going to have to apprentice one of my teenagers to him for the holidays to pay the bill;( NOPE! $338.00...TOTAL...after hours....on a Saturday....in December....during a storm! I gladly wrote that check! And some one from one of the local boiler companies just popped in when they saw Riley's truck in my driveway. WOW! Couldn't answer my service call yesterday but can pop in when the competition is here?! Thanks SLS! Needless to say that Riley's is now my boiler whisperer:) I am happy and my toes are toasty warm! Brad was great, he even gave me great advise on how to maintain my system for optimal efficiency and I will be using Riley's to install my tankless water heater system in the spring. Thanks. <br />"

"Joe did an AMAZING job. He had a scope that he put into the pipe, and found that small roots were clogging the pipe. He then was able to use a machine that blasted the roots away with highly pressurized water. Voila, within an hour or so, with no digging or anything disruptive, two masses of roots were removed from the interior of the pipe, allowing the scope to "inspect" the interior of the pipes, and see into the dry well at the end of the pipe, which was in excellent condition. I would HIGHLY recommend ASAP and Joe for any kind of drainage/sewer/pipe issue. He was extremely professional, knowledgable and friendly. Had we been forced to dig up the pipe (which ran under a bluestone patio), it would have cost thousands of dollars and been very disruptive. His amazing skill and (I am sure expensive) equipment saved the day!"

"He called after I had left a message, and was WONDERFUL. Cheery, professional, charismatic, which was awesome from a service provider. When he arrived later that afternoon he inspected the well and bladder, explained all the troubleshooting he was doing step by step, and gave me the diagnosis. I had to think it over but, after calling his competitor I was sold on him.  He came out and started it the next day, then finished it the next morning. He disposed of everything, kept it simple, and even though it sounds like a lot of money, lemme tell you, I am so glad I supported a small business.  Because normally you call a place and you don't get the same guy you talked to on the phone.  I did.
