"I used MA Design & Construction for my kitchen remodel. Raquel and Marc were very helpful in going through the options from painting the existing cabinets through to full replacement. We started with more modest changes but after debate ended with essentially their initial recommendation. The workers throughout the project were professional and I never felt uneasy with them being around the family. As the project progressed there were recommendations that Marc or Raquel would make which led to a better outcome. Marc would also pick out imperfections in the work and insure they were addressed which was appreciated. We're very pleased with the outcome and would not hesitate to work with them again."

"I had Distinctive Painting paint to entire upstairs of my home. The job consist of all the ceilings, walls, trim, doors, baseboard and minor dry wall repair. Mario did a fantastic job on the trim, I was surprised he could paint that close to our hardwood floors and carpets without touching any of them. He correct all the cracks and repaired all screw holes in the drywall and the walls and ceiling looks great. The price was comparable to other quotes that I got. Overall my wife and I were very pleased with his work and will use again."

"We've had a lot of renovation work done on our house over the last several years, and Superior Kitchens And Baths was the best company that we've worked with overall. Jane, Brandon, and their entire crew and subcontractors were all great to work with. "Mike and one of his workers came out and did their investigation right on time with the appointment we set. What they ended up finding was that my shower was leaking down into the wall because it wasn't caulked properly, which in turn ended up in my basement ceiling and then down into the basement wall. They opened up the ceiling and wall and found mold growing. The only reason we never noticed was that there is a sheetrock ceiling in the basement that the water was dripping onto but there's also a drop ceiling that hid the water damage that was occurring. In the end, all of the water damage was repaired, the mold was remedied and the shower got re-caulked. No issues since!"

Despite apparent successful initial installiton of the microwave vent. It  does not vent to the outside of the house. This was the same problem we had before, it blows back into the house. We have been told it was installed wrong by an inspector and that it needs to be corrected. Conway General Contracting will no longer return our calls or emails that I have sent via Angie's List website."

"First, let me start by saying that Leo and his crew are fantastic. 
My wife and are bought our house knowing that the cedar shingle siding would needed to be replaced within 2 years.  We gathered quotes from multiple contractors for various types of siding including new cedar shingles, wood lap, vinyl, and cement board (Hardie Plank).
Leo gave us quotes for both vinyl and for Hardie Plank and within each material gave us three options for each.  He did not push us towards one product over the other, or towards 1 of the 3 options within each material either.  The choice was totally up to us.  After seeing the relatively small extra price for Hardie over vinyl, we opted for the Hardie Plank due to the look, durability, and low maintenance.  We drove around to 2-3 other jobs that Leo had done and talked to those owners who loved the Hardie product and the work Leo did.
In terms of price, Leo's quote was definitely not the cheapest, but it also was not the most expensive.  One concern that we had was that Leo is not considered a James Hardie "preferred contractor."  After calling the James Hardie company directly, I learned that "preferred contractors" are only allowed to install Hardie Plank.  So since Leo also installs vinyl, the James Hardie company won't give him the "preferred contractor" designation.  Don't worry about this!  Leo has done many jobs installing Hardie Plank.  Check his references.  I can tell you that the quality of his work is outstanding. 
Leo described the entire process in complete detail, so that we felt very comfortable moving forward.  The tear-off of our existing siding took longer than anticipated because there were actually 2 layers, instead of just the outer layer that was visible.  Total time from start to finish was just under 4 weeks.  After the 1st week of his crew installing the new siding, my wife and I were comfortable enough to go out of town for 4 days and let them continue working.  We were not disappointed with the results.  You can tell that Leo and his crew are well trained and install the siding based on the guidelines of James Hardie so that the 30 year warranty stays intact.  The attention to detail is amazing, right down to each seam being carefully sealed.
If I had to nitpick, I would say that Leo could improve the communication a little bit.  Being a new homeowner, I was nervous with such a large and expensive project, so I wanted frequent updates.  It was often me calling Leo to find out how things went that day, rather than him calling me.  Maybe this is an unreasonable expectation on my part, but again, I'm a new and young homeowner that wanted to stay on top of this project.
After being on site supervising for the first few days, Leo did not need to come out every day.  His crew knows what they are doing.  Leo would periodically check in during the week to see how progress was coming along.  You can tell that he takes pride in his work too because one of the flashings was installed incorrectly (something I would not have noticed - but Leo did) so he had one of his workers remove and reinstall it correctly.  It's this attention to detail that tells me  I made the correct choice with Leo.
The project and price quoted by Leo also included new gutters with leaf guards.  We are happy we made this choice as well since getting the staging out to the house for the siding made doing the gutters at the same time a no-brainer.  Some minor issues came up during the install, but Leo handled them like a professional.  One of his workers accidentally cracked the glass on my electric meter.  Leo brought this to my attention immediately, whereas he could have tried to hide it.  He had someone come out a few days later to repair it completely and at no cost to me.  Leo also coordinated with the cable company to have my cable tucked in behind the siding he was installing so that it was as minimally visible as possible.  It was these types of small details that show what a professional Leo is.
Bottom line is that I would highly recommend Leo and his crew for your siding needs.  I would definitely hire him again.  It's been about 9 months since the project was completed in September 2014 (I was slow to add the review to Angie's List) and we LOVE the new siding."

"Jeremy is very handy and can repair almost anything. Painting wasn't the neatest, however, I figured this in light of the wide variety of services offered. My only issue was the failure to complete the job on time. I think they may have taken on this job thinking they could finish after other jobs as the property was empty."

"The 2 men that were sent to perform the service were friendly and professional.  They were on time and I received a reminder phone call the day before.  However, the wait time for an open appointment was about 3 months. I called in October and they scheduled me for January, but I was in no rush so I scheduled.  I opted to have the additional service of cleaning and tuning up my furnace motor, which seemed to be in rough shape (result of not changing filter often enough), and applying the disinfectant solution and spray since the additional cost for these services seemed fair.  (My ducts were not cleaned for over 10 years and I saw for myself the condition of the motor.)  I in no way felt pressured or like I was getting a "hard sell".
I purchased the $88 deal on Angie's List, which I admit makes the total cost seem like a huge mark up.  However, after subtracting the additional work I had performed, the total cost was in line or a bit lower than other quotes I received or found online for duct and dryer vent cleaning.  I also noted the writing on the deal that stated there would be an additional cost for more than one main line and return (I have 2 main lines and 4 returns), so I was not shocked by the price. I think disclosing an approximate price for these additional parts would satisfy a lot of the complaints I have read.
One problem I had was with the dryer vent cleaning.  After the service was performed, I noticed my clothes were still wet after going through the dryer.  I took the line apart myself and pulled out handfuls of lint.  I called to report this because I was afraid of the fire hazard and just wanted some assurance that the other work was not faulty.  The response I got from the receptionist was not great. I was offered a refund for dryer vent cleaning (~$30) or for someone to come back, but no apology or desire to make sure the other work was done right.  Luckily, the owner was in the office.  He got on the phone and was excellent.  He promised to come by the next day (a Saturday) and check all work.  He arrived as promised, inspected and took pictures of the air ducts and gave the dryer vent a second look (apparently I did not remove all the lint when I took it apart, so he made sure it was done right).  Honestly, he saved this review.  I would use this company again because I know if a mistake is made, they will make it right (despite some of the bumps mentioned).

"I've owned a home in Massachusetts for over 20 years, and I can say with confidence that this is the best contractor experience I have ever had regrading having work done on my house. Robert Milliard Roofing did a fantastic job. They met and/or exceeded all my expectations. The work was done on-time, to-estimate (which was very competitive), and the craftsmanship is excellent. Robert and his crew are very professional, courteous, and take pride in their work. I was especially impressed by how cleanly they keep the job site at the end of each day. When the work was done, Robert's crew completely removed all trash, nails, and debris left from my old roof. They even volunteered to removed some "extra" junk that was left behind by another contractor. During the job, one of our garden ornaments was damaged by a shingle falling from the roof. I had expected some "collateral damage" given how big a job the was so I was not upset. But, when my wife pointed this out to one of the workers, Robert went out of his way to find and purchase an exact replacement. Robert also when the "extra mile" to re-shingle my tool shed and woodshed because, in his works, "it looks better."
If I should ever need additional work done on my roof, there is no other contractor I would call. I highly recommend Robert Milliard Roofing.
