Didn't start planting until mid October. Was told there were 5 jobs in front of ours. Ignored photos of exactly what we wanted. Finish product is passable at best. Would not recommend."

"After several attempts to just hire Golden Hill Landscaping & Construction (during a bid process), I finally did. The rates seemed comparable, at first. However, there were many projects to be completed at my deceased mother's house. Because I am disabled and not able to get to the property, I couldn't see how badly I was taken advantage of. Not only did I pay for a job they did not do, I also paid for another job that is unfinished, plus a french drain that is causing a sink hole, and the buried equipment is now above ground. All 3 of these projects pose safety risks. The french drain collapse is only a few months after installation. After bringing these issues to the owners attention (the unfinished project I'd requested be completed for months), the owner began ignoring me. When I mentioned that litigation was going to move forward, the owner said he'd look at the work that week then blew me off again. When they actually do work, Golden Hill's quality of work is atrocious and will need to be fixed. They broke the house vinyl siding when cutting down a tree branch and refused to fix it. I hired a contractor to fix that. They will overcharge (snowplowing is expensive), take advantage of you if you are a senior or disabled, and will try to get paid without working. They should not be in business and allowed to take advantage. I now have to pay someone else to fix their work, finish their work, and do a $375 job they never did. They've been paid over $10,000, with more work to be done at multiple properties. They agreed to do a quote at a second property, then never showed up. One would figure, with that kind if business, a company would want to perform quality work and respond to a dedicated customer. Aroldo at Golden Hill Landscaping & Construction will do a poor job or not at all, blow off appointments, ignore requests, and refuse to fix problems. He will, however, not hesitate to pick up a check. You should not ever hire them. If you do, be prepared to throw money away."

"I am a regular customer of this company. The do my spring cleanup, fall cleanup, trim, mulching, and lawn maintenance. I am always amazed at how great the yard looks after they are done. They keep the edges sharp and provide the little extras that other companies do not. They show up on time, are professional and thorough. If you want a great looking yard for a reasonable price, hire this company. Their work is excellent."

I inherited my neighbors leaves, had several hostas that needed cleaning up, over grown perennials and 2 difficult areas I wasn't able to do. Had to leave for a few hours, when I got back I was amazed how great the yard looked. Didn't fine 1 leaf on the ground, the price was very reasonable compared what I paid the last 2 times. We usually do all of our hedge abs shrub trimming ourselves, but with a few other projects going on we hadn’t gotten them all season long and they were seriously overgrown. Since we COULD do it ourselves, we had a limit on what we were willing to pay, so we were getting several quotes … most of which were higher than we had hoped. Roberto worked with us on the pricing, which was good news because now it was off of our plate! His crew was there the early next day … fast, friendly, courteous, conscientious and neat! "Addendum to my last review: When the septic pump failed, we discovered how many corners were cut. Instead of a septic pump, a sump pump (for rainwater) was installed with the 1½ inch pipe joined to a 2 inch pipe to make it look like it was supposed to. There was no coupler on the pipe leading to the distribution box, necessitating cutting the pipe to get the sump pump out. No check valve. Do NOT use this guy."
