"Initially, I thought it was fine. However, I was very curious why the contractor would not let me talk to the insurance adjuster. He told me to stay in the house and leave everything to him. (RED FLAG) I'm not sure why I let that happen. After the negotiations and the contract was signed, the contractor advised that he failed to charge me for the cost of the chimney. We specifically talked about the chimney cost and how he wasn't putting it in the contract so it wouldn't alert the insurance company (RED FLAG ) He would just charge me another $1200 for the chimney or not do the inside work. At that point, I should have cancelled the contract. The contractor yelled at me that he forgot and he made a mistake. Yelled at me in a very loud voice. He then did that "used car" sales pitch where he has to go talk to his boss and then comes back and sends me an email that they will fix the chimney for free. I spent about twice what my budget was, and I really am mad at myself for failing to get other estimates. That is on me. The roofers put a new roof on - my old roof was less than 5 years old - not sure if a simple repair would have been okay and left a mess in my yard. There was debris from my gutters and little blue things that they use when they replace a roof. I told the contractor that, and he said "the roofers don't make money if they clean up after the gutters and feel it's not their job". Okay, whose job is it? Who did I pay to do a job? Am i supposed to hire someone else to finish up what the roofers left behind. My pet peeve is when I pay someone to do a job, and they don't finish the job and say it's not their job. That makes me so angry. Again, I'm so mad at myself. I know better. I just felt like at the end of the day I was taken advantage of. I don't think I needed a whole new roof, I spent twice the money I had budgeted, and I had a mess to take care of. I use Angie's List so I can avoid being taken advantage of and considered the "old lady" who doesn't know anything."

"Nick M. responded quickly to request. Explained probable cause of leak and approach to fix it in a calm and courteous manner. His craftsman, Miguel, is a super worker. He showed me a photo of another issue he uncovered when removing old shingles. Then Miguel went to work - new flashing, sealant, and shingles - around a "dead valley" area. Miguel left the house - roof & ground - as clean as he found it. Repair stood up to its first rain test Wednesday night !"

"EXCELLENT! The crew were professional and neat and they cleaned up afterwards. Tim was my contact from AAA Roofing and he delivered! I highly recommend them for your repairs/replacement of your roof. Special Thanks to Angi for making it possible for us to get AAA Custom Roofing for our project."

"Home Genius were punctual, professional, and concise! Jose, the project manager, took care of and answered all my questions or concerns I had about the roof replacement. Jose called the day before with all the details of the job and made sure that I was comfortable with everything that was discussed in the contract. After the job was done, Jose was very quick and communicative with closing out the job and showing me, in detail, how the roof looked and what they installed! I did not feel stressed mainly because Jose was on top of everything that was going on and I really appreciate that. And the clean up job from the crew?? Fantastic job! So great!!"

"Very pleased with the installation of my new Makarkey roof. The crew was very professional and completed the job in record time!"

"A&D home improvement did a fantastic job reroofing our home. We have a medium size roof and they brought out 2 crews to die the tear off and shingle. This was done in one day! Price was within our budget too. The new roof looks beautiful. If you need a new roof call these guys, you won’t be disappointed."

"The price is very competitive; most likely your low bidder. The work is very professional and fast. Eight hours to complete a 2 layer roof tear down and replacement (including woodwork repair). The gang works like a cohesive machine and everybody knows what they are supposed to do. They protect the house and surroundings from construction debris. Again, very professional work, from prep to clean up. I would definitely hire the again to do my windows."

"There was a mix-up in the scheduling but after a few phone calls, they got it done quickly. I had a skylight replaced so I can't inspect it up close but, they seemed to really know what they were doing. Very friendly. I probably could have had this done cheaper but, I wanted it done right."

"The KG Roofing team was a pleasure to work with. They arrived exactly on time and completed a tear-off and re-shingle in one day. The gutters, soffit and fascia took another two days. All the aluminum work was expertly done while taking the time to do the little things that I have seen others skip. I wish KG Roofing did other types of home repairs. It's hard to find companies like this."
