"Anthony and his team did an excellent job on our stucco. The color and texture were perfect! They also used The placement stones and dirt to flow water away from the house. We are very pleased. Whole process was very professional."

"We had an outdated popcorn ceiling and paneling in our library that Rob and Andy transformed into a modern, light filled room. Their work is meticulous, with great attention to detail. They also replaced drywall damaged by water, made our old garage door look like new, repaired rotted wood on our portico, repaired ceiling and wall damage from a leak in our bedroom, replaced rotted crown moulding on a garden shed, and painted our living room with lots of wood trim. This is the 3rd time we hired Rob so now our entire home is free of wallpaper and looks brand new! Communication is excellent, they arrive on time, and finish the job in a timely manner. Highly recommended!!"

"John is a very meticulous, hard working man. He made sure everything he did was to my satisfaction. He always cleaned up after each days work. He was able to repair the stucco, replace rotted trim, power wash the old paint off and paint the entire exterior. It was a great experience."

"I highly recommend Barron Masonry. They were repairing the chimney and the stucco around it. Plus they painted the whole house. The chimney looks like new now. Thank you Mike! Great job!"

"This is a long over-due favorable review. Michael came to my home, assessed the damage to my home, gave me the recommendation to have my crumbling stucco replaced with another material, and did not charge me for his time. I followed his advice and my problem was solved for much less money than it would have cost to repair the stucco, which would have to be repaired on a regular basis. I appreciate Michael's honesty and decency and recommend him to others. Larry"

Small jobs welcome

"José and his crew were amazing! José came by my house and gave me a quote and explained all that would be done. Initially I only wanted to have the stucco on my stoop repaired. I had some broken steps too, but I didn?t think I had the budget to complete, but he worked with me on a fair price, and delivered much more than expected. I would definitely recommend Zamora Construction to my friends and neighbors."

"If you want a job done the right way, hire Maestro. Our 4000 square foot house was built in 1908 and was covered and recovered over the years with more layers of stucco in uneven patches all over the house. 60% of the house is original, and 40% is an addition. Maestro expertly removed all of the existing stucco, which revealed rotten wood and a crack in our cast iron plumbing stack. They told us what the cheaper temporary fixes would be, and the more expensive permanent solution (knowing that their work would be halted while repair on the stack was completed by a third party). They took the time to have an honest conversation of the pros and cons for each, and when asked told us which option they would choose for their own house. We ultimately chose the permanent solution of halting the stucco work to replace the plumbing stack. Maestro replaced all of the rotten wood on the entire original structure, insulated the house (which was never insulated), re-stuccoed with three coats, re-pointed the stone foundation, replaced and re-routed the downspouts, and repaired and painted the exterior trim. We were given an estimate prior to each phase of the work, and we were never asked for additional compensation outside of those estimates. Our house was once considered an eyesore, and now people go out of their way to tell us how amazing it looks. Through the whole process, they showed concern for our happiness and for the finished product. Bottom line is, Maestro is unlike any other contractor we have ever hired. They do what they say they will do, for the cost that they say it will be, within the time-frame estimated, and do not need to be managed by you. They also always answered the phone when I called, if not they actually would return my call within the same day! Definitely would recommend if you are looking for a contractor that fits this description."

FAQs for traditional stucco repair or partially replace projects in Wynnewood, PA

Minor stucco fixes—like sealing small cracks or adding fresh caulk—often wrap up in an hour or two. Larger jobs that call for cutting out damaged sections, installing new lath, and layering fresh stucco can stretch to three or four days because each coat needs time to cure. A pro removes loose material, cleans and dampens the area, applies a bonding agent, and builds up new layers, matching texture and restoring the wall’s weather shield.

Watch for a stucco surface that stays damp days after a storm, develops dark stains, or feels soft or spongy under light pressure. Inside, moisture rings, peeling paint, or soft drywall around windows point to the same issue. Any of these red flags mean water is trapped behind the siding, and it’s time to call a stucco pro before rot or mold sets in.

Give your stucco a once-over every spring and fall. Semiannual checks let you catch hairline cracks, stains, or damp spots before they snowball into pricey repairs. Keep a flashlight handy, look closely around windows and doors, and call a pro if you notice anything soft or discolored. Staying ahead of minor issues protects both your curb appeal and your home’s weather barrier.

A pro starts by scraping away loose material, then cleans and lightly wets the area so new stucco will stick. After brushing on a bonding agent, they build fresh layers, letting each coat cure before adding the next. The final step is matching the texture and color so the patch blends in and the wall regains full weather protection.

Think of repair as a patch: the pro fixes only the visible crack or hole. Remediation goes deeper—crews strip away the compromised stucco, correct the root problem (often water or mold), then rebuild the wall. If tests show structural rot or trapped moisture, remediation is the safer, longer-lasting route; otherwise, a straightforward repair often does the trick.
