He immediately followed up with the part number of the part which had likely failed and a link to Sears PartsDirect to order the part. "I selected Home Energy Center based on Angie's List ratings and their coupon for a free diagnostic service call. Steve Cupps was fantastic. He arrived at our home on time and quickly diagnosed two problems. Although he had another service call to make at 5:00 pm, he returned at 7:30 with the required parts (three in all-two from his warehouse and one from an auto parts store) and finished the job. Since the weather was in the 90's every day, we were extremely grateful for his willingness to provide same day, after-hours service. They honored the Angie's List coupon and allowed us to avoid the costly bill of replacing our furnace and AC."

We have raised nails and screws on our deck that always seem to reappear during winter months.

"Sears' package of services allowed me to worry very little because they coordinated all the trades. Sears has a longstanding reputation for standing behind their products, something I had not found to be true with other contractors I had used in the past. Thecarpenter/job coordinator who did the refacing work was wonderful to work with, making minor modifiations as necessary to fit my needs.  I had not originally intended to purchase new appliances, but Sears offered me such a great discount that I added a new cooktop, double ovens (which required some cabinet modifications), and a dishwasher, which were installed by the carpenter.  He also coordinated the quartz countertop and flooring installations. All of the work Sears did was well done and professional. After the job was completed, I noticed that a door in the den that had to be cut off to accommodate the new flooring was a bit rough, and they sent the carpenter back to fix it within a week. I was somewhat concerned that I would not like the laminate used to reface the wood cabinets, but it has turned out to be very attractive, more durable than wood, and easy to clean.  No one can even find the seams in the quartz countertop or the Congoleum flooring, so I feel that their workmen are very experienced and skilled. I not only would recommend Sears to others, I would use them again for other work."

"Great plumber!  If you're looking for an honest, thorough and affordable plumber I wouldn't look any further.

 I had problems with low pressure in my hot water.  I got three estimates and the other two guys (Southtown and Roark) insisted on replacing all the hot water steel pipes in the basement right to the water main for $3000-$4000.  

Chris had a much more reasonable approach.  He gave me an estimate with three choices 1)re-piping the first 10 feet or so, 2)re-piping all the hot steel pipes in the basement and 3) re-piping all the hot and cold steel pipes in the basement.  He was very flexible and said that he would try the least expensive option first, then if it didn't work, he would try the 2nd and 3rd if necessary.  He had two of his employees come out to do the re-piping.  It turned out that the least expensive option worked great, so I only had to spend a few hundred bucks.  Compared to the other estimates I got Chris saved me $2000-$3000.  Also, his estimate for repiping all the steel pipes was still less than half of what the other guys wanted to do the same work.  Chris came by after the piping was done and also fixed my problematic kitchen faucet for only an extra 50 bucks while he was here.  I'd definitely use them again."
