"This is actually my second time working with The Rug Shoppe. I purchased some ceramic tile from them a year earlier for a job a did myself. The reason I bring that up now, is because when I came back a year later, Liz the sales associate that I worked with a year earlier, immediately remembered me, my name, my wife's name, and even that I had two cats. She is really the reason that we went with the Rug Shoppe for our carpet purchase as she is a delight to work with. As we were looking for carpet, Liz was great in helping us find stain resistant carpets that are good for households with pets. I did get quotes from other locations, and The Rug Shoppe did not come in as the lowest, however when I told this to Liz, she worked hard to get me a price that matched the lowest bid I received elsewhere. They showed up to do the work on time. They moved my furniture, removed the old carpet, installed the new carpet, and put the furniture back in place all in one day. All in all, I'm very pleased with the job."

"This is my second wonderful experience with CRC. Each time, I've had Sean Baker as my project manager and James as my repair technician. They are both great to work with. James is punctual, friendly, and does top quality work. He was busy doing my drywall when I asked him how I could patch a weird hole in my exterior window trim (totally unrelated to what he was being paid to do). He showed me how and even left some extra supplies with me. That kind of above and beyond service is typical for CRC. Each time I've used CRC, it has been for a small job but I still get treated as if I am a high-paying client with a big job. Sean always follows up to make sure I am satisfied with the work. After all is said and done, they make payment seem like the farthest thing from their minds. Both times I've had to hunt them down just to pay them, haha. But it really does make you feel like they are your friends just trying to help you get back to your normal life. The prices are great too. On this particular job, the work was completed for $250 when I was quoted $550 elsewhere. Thanks to everyone at Cary Reconstruction, I really appreciate the great service. <br />"

"The installation was great and professional. However, get everything in writing. I was quoted one price and was told that price included a discount. Once the job was finished. We received a bill for the exact amount of the discount!! We called but the representative had quit! We still owe them plus major finance company. FYI Get everything in writing. Do not take any word those fast talking sales reps quote! Ever!!"

FAQs for carpet installation projects in Yadkinville, NC

Carpet rolls come in standard widths of 12 and 15 feet. Less commonly, you might find a roll 13.5 feet wide. There are no standard roll lengths, but they’ll have enough to cover almost any home.

You’ll need equal amounts of carpet padding and carpet. Carpet padding costs $200 to $500 for the average room. However, the padding is trimmed a couple of inches away from the wall on all sides to make room for tack strips. Most residential installs have padding, and professionals include this in their bids.

Often, the best carpet for basements doesn’t include a pad. You’ll find this mainly in humid areas or places with a high-water table.

One linear foot of carpet or other material is simply one foot measured in a straight line. You typically aren’t going to measure carpet this way. It’s quoted in square feet or square yards.

There are nine square feet in one square yard of carpet.

The amount of carpet you need to cover two rooms varies depending on the room size and configuration. Measure the floor space. Multiply width times length. Do this for both rooms and add the numbers together.

You’ll need between 80 and 110 square feet for 13 stairs. For unique stairwells, you might need more.

Measure indoor/outdoor carpet like you would any other area, taking the width times the length. For patios, make sure to add a couple extra inches to wrap around the edges. Indoor-outdoor carpets cost an average of $3.50 per square foot.

You’ll need enough carpet to cover the entire area of damage to avoid seams. For example, if you have a 4-inch tear in the middle of a hallway, you’ll want enough carpet to stretch from door to door or the next available seam. Depending on the type of carpet you have, you might be able to get a professional to do an invisible seam repair.

One square foot of carpet is one foot long by one foot wide.
