"Every home owner eventually needs (or will need) a new roof. Expense is one of the driving factors that usually determines the vendor BUT a more economical long range decision should be made based on quality. Quality of product, installation and service are essential components of this decision. This is why we chose to go with Power for our new roof and gutters. EVERY interaction with each employee was customer-centric. They patiently listened to our requirements and concerns and then offered effective solutions during and throughout the entire process. (The warranty was also the best available.) Power is a large company with multiple locations across the country, ours was headquartered in Maryland but the work was completed in Virginia. This geographic distance did not adversely effect the outcome. From the initial salesperson (who took the gutsy risk of letting me visit and talk with two neighborhood customers while he waited outside before signing our contract) through the schedulers, work execution and Quality Control final inspection we were well pleased. The work started on time and was completed on time. Numerous personal phone calls and visits by the Power inspectors provided us with the comforting conclusion that we made the correct choice for a truly professional contractor. (The ONLY minor problem for the ENTIRE process was an oil stain from their air compressor on one of our paving blocks.) With our 50 year labor and product warranty I doubt we will need to redo our roof in our lifetime BUT if we move we would definitely chose Power again! Check the Better Business Bureau reviews and complaints and you will easily see that Power is a responsive and reasonable company to work with. Need a new roof? Power is your answer! Note that our project included house (2050 sq ft) replacement of all substandard 3/4” roof decking with code 7/16” decking (2080 sq ft) and also included reroofing of standalone shed (100 sq ft) minus decking replacement/gutters."

"I hired Five Star Roof Cleaning to clean the roof of my Mom’s rancher in Skillman, NJ. I’m very pleased with the work Paul and his company did! Mom’s house is going to be put up for sale in the Spring, and I wanted it to have more curb appeal by getting rid of those ugly black mold stripes and up and down the roof. Also, a few roof areas had green moss patches growing on it (which is harmful to the asphalt roofing tiles). All these problem areas were taken care of! Five Star Roof Cleaning came with all the equipment (hoses, ladders, safety equipment, etc.) and cleaning chemicals needed – all that I needed to provide was a water hose connection. I especially appreciate Paul’s concern for a quality job. The first scheduled date for the project had to be postponed because there was slight snow on part of the roof. Paul said he didn’t want to clean a roof with “frozen” roof tiles because they are too rigid and might break/chip during the cleaning process. Bravo for his concern! Next, I hired him for roof cleaning, but he also cleaned the gutters (not only with both an air blower and power washing, but also simply bending over and hand-picking out the clumps of leaves stuck underneath the gutters / asphalt tiles). He was also concerned about the cleaning chemicals that were sprayed on the roof that might “accidentally” clean other house surfaces and took steps to circumvent that from happening (you’d think that “accidentally” cleaning other areas would be desirable, but unfortunately it wouldn’t clean everything evenly and in the end, would make the cleaning project look cockeyed). Regarding the price, the amount he quoted was the price I paid (despite a slight increase in the scope of the project). I had gotten another quote from a different roof cleaning firm for double the price and found them very slimeball’ish with their aggressive sales tactics and avoiding answering simple questions. I would absolutely recommend Paul and Five Star Roof Cleaning to others!"

"I found A2Z on Angie's list. If you've never found someone there, you can click 1-4 contractors for a job and they should all call you. A2Z was the only one that called and they called within an hour! It was actually a representative of the company, ya know like they have a legit business. It wasn't the same person that fixes stuff, and answers the phone, and schedules appointments etc. An assistant or office manager called me. She was very Friendly and professional. We scheduled an appointment for the very next day. Victor called me at said he was there the morning of the appointment. He was there early in the estimated arrival window too! Amazing! He found the issue quickly, which was a leaking window, not a roof leak, as the other guy from another "company"said. Victor was easy to work with, he showed up on time, he sent me a quote and the quote ended up being the price. He was reliable and answered my phone calls and texts. I tell you, that is unheard of in the contracting business. My tenant even said she had a good experience with him and he was pleasant. I totally recommend Victor and A2Z Home Remodeling!! "Gregory initially proposed using SImonton BrickMold 600 new construction windows because of the 1/8" thicker glass the Brickmold have than the Reflexions 5500 windows. For the slight additional cost Gregory quoted me, I was willing to consider this. Unfortunately, the Brickmold only come with nailing fins; I had 4 windows that were set in brick (the rest in siding), so to use the Brickmold would involve removing the nailing fins, which unfortunately voids the warranty. So Gregory proposed doing the installation as the more labor intensive new construction install with the Reflections 500 windows with the nailing fins (these windows can be installed either with or without the nailing fins without voiding the warranty). I checked with my neighbor, who happens to be a retired estimator for another roofing/windows company, who agreed that using the nailing fins with the Reflexions 5500 windows wherever I had siding and not brick was the preferred method of install. For the price Gregory quoted me, he was equal to or less than the other quotes I received, but he  also included in the price  replacement of two very difficult to access picture windows, including one that probably weighed 800+ pounds. He also agreed to cover the additional expense of any windows local regulations required to be upgraded to tempered glass (which turned out to include the octagonal window and the larger picture window) AND was willing to replace our old window sills (which were builder's grade clipboard-type material that had been damaged by moisture) for just the cost of the material. Lastly, he agree to both take down our mounting hardware for our blinds and put them back up when he was done.
The work took nearly 3 days. Days started at 7 pm sharp and ended about 7:30 pm.
Gregory's foreman, Lucas, was phenomenal. Besides taking extraordinary care to keep our house neat and to work around the nap schedule of a toddler, he was extraordinarily courteous and took time all along the way to tell us how each step would occur each day and to make sure their plans would not interfere with our daily activities.
Gregory also noted our concern about our water damaged windowsills, so after removing the old ones, he placed waterproof material over the over framework, then brought in an outside master carpenter to measure, cut, and edge the new Certateed cellular PVC material he ordered for the new sills. The material, though very expensive compared to wood, has the feel and weight of wood, but is completely waterproof, and comes in white, so that I did not have to get the sills painted in the end.
It should also be noted that all this went on while he was working with wedding preparations for his daughter!
Definitely would use his company again.
