"All the projects went very well, no complaints. Very happy with the results. The leaking commode was leaking from tank screws; fixed by replacing screws/washers/gaskets on tank. Garbage disposal was replaced with a new one, and appropriately so. Previous sump pump plumbing was the incorrect type of PVC pipe and moved every time the sump pump worked to drain water to outside of house; made the sump pump plumbing leak and come apart easily. New sump pump plumbing corrected those problems and drained to outside of the house and away from foundation all to code and a check valve was installed. Previous sprinkler system plumbing was the incorrect type of plumbing and was lying on top of concrete patio, exposed to all the elements. New sprinkler system plumbing was replaced with copper pipe and raised off the ground and attached to outside of house and is not noticeable to the eye, but is easily accessible. Non-working electrical outlets fixed. Problem found was loose wiring. Maintenance 101 is quick to respond to my phone calls for needed service. Owner Michael Conklin comes out in a timely manner and shows up when he says he is going to show up. Work is completed efficiently and Michael is very knowledgeable and professional. He enjoys his work and works hard to make it cost effective for the customer. I don't worry that I am being given quotes on needlessly inflated prices for the actual work needed to do the job, parts, or labor. Michael is fair and customer friendly. I wish more contractors were as pleasant to do business with as Maintenance 101 Plumbing. He also has given me several referrals for other companies for other types of work I've needed done. He is a great resource in that regard as well. I will continue to call this company for any future plumbing and other work that is in the purview of their specialty. I have complete confidence in Maintenance 101."

"Had three new sinks and Adam had to run all new drain pipes as the ones that built the home had done a terrible job. One drain had pieces glued together just to make it work. There were eleven pieces. Adam cleaned it all up using only two pieces. The Kitchen sink is now a undermount and the drain holes in the sink didn't match where the old sink was so Adam had to reroute all that. He did a excellent job and was very through. I would totally recommed him to any one needing plumbing work done. He knew what he was doing and didn't sugar coat it. Just did it right.  THank you Dependable Sewer & Drain. <br />"

"I have gone through several plumbers over the past several years. Some were adequate and some horrible. recently this past April we discovered the worst of worst. But out of every difficult situation comes something great and in this case, we found a great plumber. We have no connection to Lucas, other than a very satisfied customer. So I want to send a review to all to see I highly recommend Lujan Plumbing Services & Installations LLC. If I could give 10 stars I would. I would like to also add Value and Punctuality to the 3 items out of 5 items to choose from. We had a bad experience with a previous Plumber. Lucas restored our faith in plumbers with his work quality and professionalism. Once again, finding an outstanding plumber has been difficult and we feel fortunate to have found Lucas."

"The furnace stopped working in my rental house and they replaced a fuse and looked at a thermostat. The inside temperature of the house was less than 40 degrees when I was told about the heater not working. I called Smith Plumbing and Heating and she had a technician at the house in 20 minutes. He came out, looked at the heater, replaced the fuse, checked the thermostat and had the heater up and running in 25 minutes. It took a total of 45 minutes to fix the problem from the time I called to the time it was done. Simply an amazing job done. This is the 4th time I have used their services, 2 plumbing issues and 2 heating issues and they are always super fast, fair prices, and always easy to work with. I am very appreciative of their work. <br />"

"<p>Let me start by explaining that I first had two other plumbers and the city of Colorado Springs all check my line and tell me it was not going to be repairable.  The other plumbers ran their cameras through my line as well as their snakes and were UNABLE to fix the problem.  My home had no ability to drain water.  I was in the process of obtaining bids to literally DIG UP THE PAVEMENT in he street to fix the problem.  This would have cost between ten and twenty thousand dollars.</p> <p>Olsen's Plumbing came.  Their camera and snake were MUCH better and more powerful than the other plumbers.  They completely fixed the pipe and showed me on the camera that it was fixed.  It all took less than two hours.  </p> <p>They were phenomenal.  I will not hire another plumber.  I highly recommend them.</p>"

"The repair went great! The central air went out late Sunday night and Johnson Brother's Plumbing and Heating were able to schedule coming to the house that Wednesday, which was the earliest, based on the other companies we called. Repair technicians were on time, found the problem quickly -- had a bad capacitor. Technicians had correct part in their truck and replaced the part within minutes. Almost immediately, cool air was being blown through the vents. The technicians checked the air conditioning temperature and verified system was working correctly. <br> <br>The technician explained what the capacitor does and answered my questions about the part, then showed me the bad capacitor, explaining when the top of the capacitor is pushed out it's an indication that the part is bad. <br> <br>The price was reasonable and the house was back to being cooled. The technicians also liked dogs, so I didn't have to lock my dogs up. <br> <br>I would definitely use Johnson Brother's Plumbing and Heating again."

"It actually went pretty well. I had a couple of people come out and looked at a plumbing issue. The first one, I think it was a different company, and they didn't actually do more than surface level plumbing. Service First did a really good job and they had solved all my problems. I had a pair of related problems in 2 different toilets that kept repeatedly getting clogged, they solved one and gave me information on best way to solve the other one and it was in fact replacing the toilet, and I did. Then have them back out using the first time that I purchased on Angie's List and they installed the second toilet for me. There wasn't any additional service cost, I purchased the toilet myself which is about $300. I would use them again if I'd ever have that kind of problem again."

"A friend of mine who had a bathroom remodel completed in her home referred Nekole to my husband and me. This was after Pete Wasilewski, owner of CPC Contractors, walked off the job after four months of incomplete on our ¾ basement bathroom. Nekole showed us where our former contractor performed substandard workmanship and then quickly, and efficiently, performed the demolition work. The remodel was completed by one (1) woman in less time than the three-man team who was previously working on it. Nekole’s performance and temperament are astonishing, we love her passion and pride for her work. I would recommend her to anyone who asks, which is why we are already on her schedule for future work within our home."

FAQs for plumbing installation for a remodel or addition projects in Yoder, CO

Adding bathroom plumbing to a detached garage starts with the basic line installation cost of $900 to $1,300. On top of this base expense, you'll need to budget for each fixture. A toilet costs  $250 to $550, sinks cost $150 to $800, and a shower or bathtub costs $400 to $1,900. The project will also require ventilation, moisture-resistant materials, and possibly electrical work. Remember that these costs reflect only the plumbing aspects—additional construction, finishing, and permitting expenses will apply to complete a functional bathroom space.

While certain aspects of garage renovation might be suitable for DIY enthusiasts, plumbing installation requires professional expertise. Connecting to water and sewer systems demands specialized knowledge and equipment, and improper installation can result in severe water damage, code violations, and potential health hazards. Most municipalities require permits for plumbing modifications, and these often stipulate that licensed professionals must perform work. Consider limiting your involvement to simpler tasks like painting or basic finishing work.

The timeframe for adding plumbing to a detached garage spans one to three days for the actual plumbing work. However, this represents only the active installation period. The complete project timeline must account for planning, obtaining permits (which can take weeks depending on your locality), coordinating multiple contractors if needed, and addressing any unexpected challenges that arise during installation. Weather conditions can also impact excavation and outdoor connection work.

Adding plumbing to a detached garage will likely increase your property taxes. Tax assessors consider plumbing an improvement that enhances property value and functionality. The specific tax impact varies by location and project scope. Converting a garage into living space with plumbing facilities can trigger significant reassessment in many jurisdictions. Before proceeding with your project, consult your local tax assessor's office to understand the potential tax implications and factor this ongoing expense into your decision-making process.
