"He replaced a valve in the bathtub so I could once again take a bath. He stopped a link in the bath sink and went out looking for a replacement faucet. I had to order the faucet, so he came back in a few days to install the the new faucet. He was very nice and attentive to what I told him. He came when he said he would. I would most certainly call him again for any plumbing failures."

Small jobs welcome

"Coopers was a really good experience. They were very responsive, and gave me a great service. They scoped the line before snaking it to prevent causing any further damage and see what kind of but was needed first. They were very thorough and super friendly. And they quoted me a fair price. Would definitely call them for a future service need. Recommend! Clay B. "

"He didn't charge us for that because he just came out for about 10 minutes and he told us where the leak in the line was. It was actually our water softener that was running constantly. He didn't charge us, but he did recommend us to another company that could come out and fix the water conditioner. That's probably why he didn't charge us, because he didn't fix it, he just told us what the problem was. He nailed what it was. His responsiveness was OK. I think it took him a day or two to get out there. He was backlogged at the time. I would give him an "A" in that it wasn't because he was brushing us off or anything, he was just backlogged on the field he had to do, jobs he had lined up. So I wasn't unhappy about it because it was a very minor leak. It wasn't like an emergency either. They are a family owned company and I would say they care about their customers. They do a good job. What they fix, they fix. I haven't had any breakdowns or problems with the work they have done."

"The young man did a very good, neat job and got done remarkably quickly.

My only problem with Stan's is that they didn't itemize their bill. Now I can understand if, as a rule, they don't itemize, but when I called to ask for an itemized bill, mostly for the purpose of finding out how much the actual hot water heater cost, the guy who answered the phone couldn't have been ruder. (I can't help but think that if my husband had called he would have taken a different tone.) He announced that in 27 years he'd never itemized. Okay. I perform a service and don't itemize either. But if someone asks me to, I'll be glad to break it down for them. Mr. Stan's Plumbing wasn't about to. Sooo he's lost a customer, one who's about to redo two bathrooms. "

FAQs for plumbing installation for a remodel or addition projects in Yukon, OK

Adding bathroom plumbing to a detached garage starts with the basic line installation cost of $900 to $1,300. On top of this base expense, you'll need to budget for each fixture. A toilet costs $250 to $550, sinks cost $150 to $800, and a shower or bathtub costs $400 to $1,900. The project will also require ventilation, moisture-resistant materials, and possibly electrical work. Remember that these costs reflect only the plumbing aspects—additional construction, finishing, and permitting expenses will apply to complete a functional bathroom space.

While certain aspects of garage renovation might be suitable for DIY enthusiasts, plumbing installation requires professional expertise. Connecting to water and sewer systems demands specialized knowledge and equipment, and improper installation can result in severe water damage, code violations, and potential health hazards. Most municipalities require permits for plumbing modifications, and these often stipulate that licensed professionals must perform work. Consider limiting your involvement to simpler tasks like painting or basic finishing work.

The timeframe for adding plumbing to a detached garage spans one to three days for the actual plumbing work. However, this represents only the active installation period. The complete project timeline must account for planning, obtaining permits (which can take weeks depending on your locality), coordinating multiple contractors if needed, and addressing any unexpected challenges that arise during installation. Weather conditions can also impact excavation and outdoor connection work.

Adding plumbing to a detached garage will likely increase your property taxes. Tax assessors consider plumbing an improvement that enhances property value and functionality. The specific tax impact varies by location and project scope. Converting a garage into living space with plumbing facilities can trigger significant reassessment in many jurisdictions. Before proceeding with your project, consult your local tax assessor's office to understand the potential tax implications and factor this ongoing expense into your decision-making process.
