"We've used Georgia Master Plumbing a few times and Derek has always provided very timely service at an affordable price. On his last visit, he diagnosed and fixed an AC-related water flow problem that our AC technician misdiagnosed. Very professional and knowledgable."

"The technician was on time and courteous.  My A/C wasn't blowing any cold air, so he checked the air handler first, then checked the heat pump.  The freon was very low, 1.5 pounds in a 3.5 pound system, so he charged the unit with freon.  The air was fine after that.  He did a check for leaks from the evaporator coil "on the house" and showed me that the coil was losing coolant from several spots.  He recommended that an engineer come have a look about a system replacement since it was impossible to tell how long the coolant was leaking - the main issue being that the coil had several leaking spots.
Overall the service went well.  The price was a function of the high price of freon ($90 or so per pound), so it could have been any HVAC company getting dinged on the price issue.

"If I could give them 6 stars, I would. I had them fix a blocked main sewer line that was about 8 feet under ground. Despite the fact the utility companies mismarked where the buried gas and power lines where (they were right above the sewer near the blockage), they managed to avoid them, and actually had to dig 2 holes to get to the blockage. They did the job in a timely and professional manner. Worked late to get the fix done in one day, and came back the following day to finish up loose ends."

"We had sewage backup due to clogged sewer drain. We called another company who cleaned out the pipe and determined that we had a break approximately 4 ft below our driveway. They provided an estimate for repair of the pipe section that was quite exorbitant. I contacted Peach Plumbing & Drain for a second-opinion. They were quick to reply and visited my house shortly afterwards. Ramon and Teudy, the two on-site workers, were extremely hard working and courteous and worked with me to find an economical solution. They even took care to leave my place spick and span after excavating my driveway. I hope that I do not need a plumber again in the near future, but definitely take solace in knowing Peach Plumbing & Drain is here to help!"

FAQs for drain clog or blockage clearing projects in Acworth, GA

Snaking a simple clog near a tub, toilet, or sink often takes about five minutes. Deeper blockages along the main line can stretch the job to a few hours because the pro must feed extra cable and may need a camera to confirm the pipe is clear. Either way, specialized tools help pros work quickly and keep your drains running for the long haul.

Aggressive snaking can scratch pipes, push debris deeper, or even crack older lines. That risk is low with an experienced plumber who matches the cable size to the pipe and eases the snake through bends instead of forcing it. If you’re unsure of your technique—or your pipes are already fragile—calling a licensed pro is the safest, and often cheapest, move.

Start with simple barriers: mesh screens on every tub, shower, and sink keep hair, food bits, and jewelry out of the pipes. Skip harsh chemicals; a monthly flush with hot (not boiling) water clears light buildup without damaging plastic lines. Finally, practice smart disposal—no grease, wipes, or kitty litter down the drain—and schedule routine cleanings if you have older plumbing.

Roto‑Rooter typically charges a flat $160 to $450 for standard snaking, which may include a quick sewer inspection and basic clean‑out. Exact pricing depends on the clog’s location and complexity. Repairs or part replacements fall outside that flat fee, so ask for a line‑item estimate if your tech spots broken pipe sections or recommends additional work.

Most liquid cleaners rely on caustic chemicals that eat through hair and grime—but they also erode metal and even some plastics over time. Repeated use strips protective pipe coatings and can leave you with leaks or premature failures. If hot water or a plunger doesn’t help, call a plumber for mechanical removal instead of pouring more chemicals down the line.
