"I have been in the carpet industry since the early 1970's and have been employed as everything from a carpet installers apprentice to a carpet store manager. Consequently I have been in and around a myriad of different carpet businesses encompassing all aspects of the industry. I have been using Vogel's exclusively for all of my carpet purchases for nearly 10 years and have never had a problem with their services. I have found Vogel's to be of the highest integrity, well organized, communicative and a pleasure to deal with."

"Once again we called Revive Carpet and Upholstery Cleaners. They've rescued our carpeting from several exciting and active visits from out-of-town grandchildren over the years and restored it after a remodeling fiasco. They're a family business so we can't ever surprise them with a carpet catastrophe that they haven't encountered before or experienced themselves."

"Raul and Jonathan from Aces Carpet Services installed carpet in the upstairs floor of our house. They came on time, got right to work and were done in four hours. They did a beautiful job with great efficiency and professionalism. They were both very pleasant and cheerful to work with. I would definitely recommend Raul's services."

"We had a beautiful wool dining room area rug that had been custom made 32 years ago (pieced together in a design and then hand-stitched and glued).  Over the last four years the rug had been urinated on by two little dogs we were fostering.  It was not apparent at first and we thought we had cleaned up all spots and done adequate home-cleaning for the rug.  When we were remodeling, we decided to have the rug sent out to be cleaned.  The crew that came to get it was very polite and arrived when they said they would and called first etc.  They suggested we have the rug deodorized too.  We had also arranged previously to have DA Burns provide us with a new carpet pad.  The company kept the rug for us  while we were completing our remodel.  When they delivered it, the rug was clean and beautiful.  It smelled wonderful.  The pad they delivered was perfect, just the right size and type that we had requested. We will use them again.  Great service."

"I didn’t spend much. It was under $100 with the coming out fee and everything. The quality was good as always. He did a great job. He was one of the few people I could find that would come out as it was not a big job. It was a simple job. I’d had some tile work done and they never put the carpet back. He did whatever the piece is called between the carpet and the tile. Being that it was a $100 or less job, I just couldn’t find anyone to do it. It’s what he does and he does a great job. In fact he was running a little behind that day and then he phoned me to tell me that he would be a little late. The service is great. I would use him again in the future."

"Very well. They fixed a problem from the another company's installation and then followed up with the carpet cleaning. We will have them back for round two with upstairs carpets."

"Carpet To Go handled our carpet selection and installation, through the Costco program. We were extremely pleased with the entire process, from selecting the carpet, to the fast scheduling, and excellent installation which was completed in less than 2 days. The price was very competitive, and the installers were professional, clean and courteous. We would not hesitate to recommend Carpet To Go."

FAQs for carpet installation projects in Bellevue, WA

Carpet rolls come in standard widths of 12 and 15 feet. Less commonly, you might find a roll 13.5 feet wide. There are no standard roll lengths, but they’ll have enough to cover almost any home.

You’ll need equal amounts of carpet padding and carpet. Carpet padding costs $200 to $500 for the average room. However, the padding is trimmed a couple of inches away from the wall on all sides to make room for tack strips. Most residential installs have padding, and professionals include this in their bids.

Often, the best carpet for basements doesn’t include a pad. You’ll find this mainly in humid areas or places with a high-water table.

One linear foot of carpet or other material is simply one foot measured in a straight line. You typically aren’t going to measure carpet this way. It’s quoted in square feet or square yards.

There are nine square feet in one square yard of carpet.

The amount of carpet you need to cover two rooms varies depending on the room size and configuration. Measure the floor space. Multiply width times length. Do this for both rooms and add the numbers together.

You’ll need between 80 and 110 square feet for 13 stairs. For unique stairwells, you might need more.

Measure indoor/outdoor carpet like you would any other area, taking the width times the length. For patios, make sure to add a couple extra inches to wrap around the edges. Indoor-outdoor carpets cost an average of $3.50 per square foot.

You’ll need enough carpet to cover the entire area of damage to avoid seams. For example, if you have a 4-inch tear in the middle of a hallway, you’ll want enough carpet to stretch from door to door or the next available seam. Depending on the type of carpet you have, you might be able to get a professional to do an invisible seam repair.

One square foot of carpet is one foot long by one foot wide.
