Eventually his tools were not quite up to the job (the clog was deeper than his snake could reach) so he fixed the other problem (replaced the shutoff valve under a toilet) while waiting for word from the office. Eventually he came back the next day with a longer snake and cleared the drain! Charged me the quoted price, never tried to upsell or overcharge me even though it took much longer than they expected. "Initial effort to complete job stopped for good reason. Operator discovered a buried cable near the tank that look like it could be electrified. Placed One Call that came out the next day. Cable determined to be an old phone or TV line no longer in service. Putting safety first was the right call. Once cleared the job was done well and the price was fair. Inspected both openings and determined the baffles could go for a while yet. Appreciated that unneeded services were not pushed. Will call them the next time we need this service done."
