"We thought we had a problem with ants.  Had an appointment and the serviceman claled to say he was running late.  He asked me about the problem and it turns out we did not have a problem.  We were only seeing an ant here and there, and he explained that now and then you may see ants on occasion but that doesn't mean there's an infestation.  I decided not to have him come and he told me if they got worse to call and they would come take care of it.  He explained what would be done in that case and gave us a price (I believe it ws $175) which seemed reasonable to me.  To date I haven't seen any more ants.  I will clal them if we do develop a problem."
