"Overall, this project went well. Initially after I accepted their bid, they suggested that they may not be able to perform the work until 2-3 months later. However, since this work was not that extensive, they were able to move it up earlier within their schedule. The technicians called in advance of the arriving and were able to complete the work over two days. The cleanup was satisfactory. The technicians offered the additional advice that longer term the chimney could use a rebuild."

"Blue Sky was prompt, professional and worked hard at repairing the exterior of our chimney. Owner Dave also helped convince our insurance carrier that the damage to the interior flue was caused by a small chimney fire; our carrier agreed with his findings and reimbursed us for the estimated cost of repair."

"We called the company and were given an appointment for the very next day. We had planned to install one large chimney cap to cover 4 chimney flues on top of our large chimney. We were given the pros and cons of one large cap vs four separate caps along with price estimates. We were advised to go with 4 caps to protect the integrity of our brick chimney. The 4 stainless steel caps were installed that same day. We hadn't planned on getting advice on installing a fireplace insert but, it turned out that the company also sells inserts so we had the fireplace measured and were given good advice on installing an insert. We put off that decision for a later date."

"This was a roofing deal from Everlasting Exteriors. I met with Jim Davidson, owner of Everlasting Exteriors prior to the job to go over what was involved and included and the cost. Jim was very up front with the  details and was fully prepared with house dimensions and material requirements before coming to the house. On the scheduled day of the job, he and his crew showed up promptly at 7 am to start. The supplier of the shingles arrived with a boom truck to lift the shingle packs directly to the roof, saving time while maintaining safety and consideration for the property. Jim supplied his own trailer for the old shingles so there was no dumpster sitting for days in the driveway. Prior to starting the job, Jim's crew laid tarps around the house and over the gardens to protect the plants. His crew worked steadily and professionally tearing off the shingles, inspecting the roof decking for condition (which did not require any boards to be replaced), re-nailing loose nails, applying the ice guard material then installing the new Architectural shingles, in the color we chose, with new roof vents, and flashing. Afterwards, Jim and I went up on the roof to inspect the work which looked very good. Jim and his crew were done about 3 pm with the installation, and a thorough cleaning up around the house. Jim hauled the trailer of old shingles away and was done completely by 4 pm. The job went very well and I was happy with the way it turned out, with Jim's and his crew's professionalism and attention to detail. Jim was checking in with me during the day letting me know the progress and whatever they found, and what they were doing. I would recommend Jim Davidson and his company Everlasting Exteriors, Inc. <br />"

"All went well. They were booked a few weeks out, but they came right on schedule. The installation took one day, without problems. They showed us how to condition and operate the wood-burning insert. They have provided additional advice as we have learned to use it. We chose the Vermont Castings Montpelier model because it has a nice large window and allows a very good view of the fire. It has the drawback, as warned by Woodland, that the large window will get easily coated by soot. However, with some preventive maintenance and cleaning before each fire, I feel that issue is reduced to an acceptable level. I was unsure how to rate the price since we did not do much comparison shopping, except by reviewing Angies List reports. We have been enjoying the insert."

"Walter and Justin did an excellent job first of all of protecting our roof and lawn with padding during the entire procedure Pieces of the brick had been flaking off due to moisture. Our chimney is made of the soft pink brick that I have heard referred to as Chicago brick. Walter went to a brick yard and hand picked brick that he thought would match ours, which it did beautifully. He did an excellent job of interspersing the brick they had been able to salvage from the tear down with the new brick, with the end result being that one cannot tell where the repair began. Our chimney also had a bit of a detail with an occasional brick jutting out from the others, and they replicated that as well. Walter suggested that because our brick was so soft, we have them install a limestone crown where there had previously been none. We followed his advice, and I am very glad that we did. It looks great! <br /> Walter and Justin were wonderful to work with. They were responsive and nice and cleaned up beautifully afterward.. <hr /> <br />"
