"I had a Saturday appointment which was nice, I didn't have to miss work during the week to get home for their visit. I just moved into this house 6 months ago and just wanted to make sure the fireplace and chimney were ok before I start any fires. I was given the inspection and cleaning quote over the phone. Upon arrival , one quick glance up the chimney determined cleaning wasn't needed, so that was good. but the guy was in my house for only about 10 mins for the total inspection and I think $75 for a quick look is kind of pricey. but he was nice and professional and knowledgable."

Six crew members arrived and worked hard for 3 full days, with only a short break for lunch. They were polite, professional, thoroughly cleaned up each day before leaving, and returned promptly the next morning to finish up the work. The double lifetime warranty against leaks takes all worries away after purchasing a 1950's home. The roof was expensive, but with energy savings, homeowner's insurance savings, and increased resale value for my home, it will be worth the expense. The chimney flashing that came with the new roof is 10 times better than the flashing and tar that was there before. Financing was quick and easy and pre-job and after-job communication has been very good. By the way, I had AWS entry doors installed on this old house and there were no drafts at all. "Jim is a top-notch independent professional. He's busy and he works at his pace. If you aren't in a hurry, his schedule makes up for his quality and professionalism. Jim responded to a call. We spoke about the repair needed. It took him a week or two to get out to the property to survey the damage. I put in a couple of calls along the way. Once he got out, he told me when he could get to it and that suited us fine. He offered some constructive suggestions that were actually a bit less than we wanted to do regarding the repair. We appreciated his recommendation.Once we committed to the project, he got right to it. Really good attention to detail and materials. You get the feeling that he is fixing it with the same attention that he'd give his own home.  <br /> After the repair, he got back to us with an additional suggestion on securing some structural issues. He offered the service as an add-on. Again, good suggestion from Jim and we proceeded.  <br /> The collapsed chimney left a mess of rock and block in the yard. "This house, built in 1880, had not been heated for ten years. Before my father passed away he had a new boiler installed which had never been used. The man who did the initial installation has also passed away so we were starting in the middle of the project living 600 miles away. Bobs was recommended to us. We first contacted them through email from their website. Then a telephone call to line things up. First they came into the house and attached the new meter to the boiler. Then, once the gas company ran the new line, they came and hooked up the gas to the house. It was done very professionally, very clean, very trustworthy. We received an invoice that was less than anticipated and when it was paid we were thanked for our business. We can highly recommend this business. <br />"

"I selected Alpha & Omega because they offered a camera inspection of chimneys and since it was off season they were running a special promotion. Technicians were on time and professional, chimney was very dirty but the crew protected the area around the fireplace. They inspected the hot water heater venting and informed me that it was not to current code. When I latter had my gas meter upgraded, the Consumers technician failed my hot water heater due to improper venting. I had Alpha & Omega return to upgrade my hot water heater vent and install a chimney liner with a chimney cap. I did not get any other quotes for these services as the prices seemed reasonable based on past experience."

One final charge for hand capture of snake after original package expired (extra money was disappointing... but end result was exactly what I needed)."
