I called Byers Construction on a Saturday and Ron promptly called me back in a few hours. He came out that following Monday to look over the job and he said he would email me an estimate. The estimate came in a few days and explained everything his crew would do and an itemized break-down of all materials and labor. His crew showed up on a Friday at the time mentioned and worked very hard until the job was done. I called Ron the next day with a few issues to be fixed and he said he would send out Ben on Monday. Ben showed up at 8am. and I explained to him the issues and he fixed them until I was completely happy. This is a company that just doesnt disappear after the job is done. Ron and his team go above and beyond to satisfy the customer and this kind of service is hard to find now days. Ron was even nice on the phone when I was "not so nice" about the little issues. Another vendor quoted $250 for a 10' ceiling (which I would have done myself) and $350 for the extra 5 feet. Doolittle quoted $89 service call plus $40 for each 15 minutes - about an hour estimated, so about $250 for the total job. The job was completed in a flash and the total bill was $169. Workers (forgot their names!) were very professional and communicated with me the whole way. They took care to protect my wood flooring and assembled the fan (and extending rod) in crazy fast time.
