"The house was built in 1979 in the northeast part of Garland, over the last three decades it had developed foundation problems.  Last year I repaired the foundation and plumbing problems.  This year in June I contracted with Alvarez Painting Co. to repair the sheetrock.  He repaired the cracks, retextured, and painted.  I had asked him for walls that looked as good as the ones that you see in a new house model.  I got what I asked for and as of a month later I think they look better than some I see in model homes. The wood door had been installed by a different contractor who could not get the color right.  Paul's stripped it and restrained it, now it looks much better.  The window sill had been practical board that had gotten wet and blotted and was falling apart, Paul replaced it with Poplar which is a much better wood then I had expected.
