There was a bit of a delay (about a month) from the time we agreed to do the work until when the installation actually took place, due to the delay from the company manufacturing the caps."

"I was able to use Angie's discount coupon (-$10) for the $185 cleaning. While I never want to burn in fireplace, I appreciate their report that my 100-yr-old chimney is unsafe to use. Unfortunately, they were not able to close the damper they had opened. They did suggest I fill that opening with insulation rolls to keep cold air from blowing in. Mainly, I wanted to get an estimate on installing a cap that had never been added. Fortunately, they were able to install one during the visit. I am just waiting to get a receipt for that additional $180 cost."

"Due to a terrible roof leak back in January, and the subsequent collapse of my kitchen ceiling, I decided it was time for a new roof. As this is a major expense, and at a particularly bad time for me, I contacted 5 companies. Ultimately I hired Westshore Roofing. Ben Fowler was terrific to work with from the very beginning. Having a background in project management I typically rate services by, well, their ability to provide good service. One of the most important elements is communication. Ben provided a very detailed quote listing every aspect of the work, materials and process. He also responded to my every inquiry, even bringing me samples and, when necessary, coming by personally to check out questions I had during the process. His team, supervised by Manuel, was great. Manuel similarly was very responsive to questions and did a great job with the main roof as well as a couple of gnarly spots. There was only one issue: I had requested gutters with a double profile, and because I was not home when they were installed, they made a single profile. It's not a big deal, but I recommend double checking with the gutter installer prior to extrusion if you are really particular. Ben was also very accommodating to my indecision regarding downspouts versus rain chains. I ultimately decided on chains. Thanks Ben and Manuel for making a very painful undertaking a lot better!"

"They technicians were very helpful. The owner was very good. We were looking for different inserts and they were very helpful in making recommendations for outside the house, as to what we needed for an insert. They advised an EPA compliant unit and we had a couple of adjustment issues which needed to be worked upon. They had a few contractors who dealt with chimneys, who were very good. They were very knowledgeable and carried several types of inserts. I liked their services and will use the same in future."

"Adam did a great job. He was on time, inspected the chimney and said it was cleaner than he would have expected given the length of time since the last cleaning. He gave me the option of deferring the cleaning for several months, which would save the added cost. I chose to have the cleaning done instead of scheduling a second visit. Adam put down tarps to protect the carpeting, brought in his tools and went to work immediately. It seemed like he was in and out in no time! I would definitely recommend him."

"We invited  three highly rated contractors from Angie's List to submit proposals for our roofing job. During the evaluation period, our Project Manager, Joe, from Daddario Roofing was extremely helpful in educating us on roofing issues. He helped us with roof aesthetics such as diagonal zippered look with high profile shingles vs traditional horizontal high profile options. Also, Joe provided us with independent analysis on pros and cons of Oriented Strand Board (OSB) v. Plywood. We selected Landmark TL with "boosters" to a provide high profile roof without the zippering effect.  Also, we went with the plywood option; and had ridge vents put in to provide better ventilation of our attic. Overall, Joe came across as truly concerned that we would have a good looking roof when the job was done, which was important to us. All three contractors came in at similar cost, the reason we chose Daddario was the attention to aesthetics. <br /> The job was completed in three days. The Daddario crew was prompt, conscientious, and diligent in getting with work done. The crew did a great job in cleaning up after each work day. It was very hot when  the work was being performed and the crew sought our approval to start early morning so they could maintain schedule, which we fully supported. <br /> We had one small issue when the job was done. There were three or four areas where our roofline connected with the house siding; the gap between the roof and the siding was much larger than with our heavy shake roof and it looked a bit unsightly. Daddario sent a project manage out to look at the roof and came with a solution to address our concerns. The following Monday, Daddario sent our a workmen to implement the fix.  We are happy with the solution, and are extremely happy with quality and look of our new roof. <br />"
