"Daniel is very professional. He painted my kitchen ceiling. He did a great job. I recommended him to friends & they used him too. He is coming back in the next few weeks to paint all of my shutters. I will use him for any painting projects that need to be done....that's how good he is."

"Of all the home projects we have completed since moving into our historic home ( ~1860) fifteen years ago, C&E Valley painting was by far the BEST company we have worked with. Their estimate came in 50% lower than two others from much larger companies, they were flexible with scheduling, and were responsive in terms of communication. What impressed us the most was that they showed up when they said they would and were so clean and quiet and respectful. Much of the work was completed while we were working from home and during summer, and the crew was so quiet and clean the work never disrupted us. We actually added a second smaller job because of the amazing work of the crew. In 15 years of home improvements, I have never added money to a final bill for a home project but I did to C&E Valley. I was so IMPRESSED with the entire experience and itâ s so unusual for everything to go so smoothly and to work with kind and respectful people, that they deserved more than what they charged. The process of working with C&E was smooth from start to finish and I look forward to rehiring them the moment we have another painting project!"

FAQs for small projects painting or staining projects in Harrisonburg, VA

You'll need about two gallons of paint to fully cover your kitchen cabinets with two coats. Since each gallon covers around 350 square feet, it's a good idea to measure your cabinets or use a paint calculator to determine exactly how much you'll need. Starting with one or two coats of primer and then applying two to three layers of paint will give you a flawless, durable finish. Using high-quality paint can reduce the number of coats needed and provide a long-lasting finish.

The best type of paint for your kitchen cabinets is latex paint because it applies evenly and creates a durable finish. If you're painting wood surfaces and need extra adhesion, acrylic paint is a great alternative. We don't recommend oil-based paint for residential use due to its VOC emissions. For finishes, go with eggshell, semi-gloss, gloss, or satin, as matte finishes aren't as durable or as easy to clean.

The best method for painting kitchen cabinets is spray painting because it gives you a smooth, even finish without brush strokes. While brushes and rollers can work, they often leave marks and require more effort. If you're aiming for a professional look, spray painting is your best bet to enhance the beauty and durability of your cabinets.
