"Richardson Exteriors did the roof of my apartment complex in Dublin and also did the roof on all the garages in my apartment complex. During the process of them doing the roof on my garage they neglected to let the office Personnel know that they are going to do the roofs that day like they said they would let everybody know. They went ahead and did the roof with everybody's belongings in the garage and their vehicles which caused damage to my vehicle and other people's belongings and vehicles. I had nails on top of my car, shingle grit all over my car, and chunks of plywood all over my car. My car is a classic vehicle and the paint got damaged. I had my office at my apartment complex reach out to them they never contacted me or the office I tried to contact Richardson exteriors directly through email and they did not reply. 100% would never use this company ever again and I do not recommend them to anyone."

"Beware, this guy is a crook. Not only did he take us for $325, he faked a death so not to return to fix the leaks. Was told his work was 100% guaranteed, and he was ‘sure’ to identify the root-cause. Gave a quote for $325, and told us the job would take 45 minutes, a little concerned, that $325 for less than a 1 hour worth of work was right, went against my better judgement. The biggest mistake was paying by check, not credit card, thus had no recourse. When he came to the house was on the property for 30 minutes, took him 20 minutes to set-up the ladder, and only spent 10 minutes on the roof… a complete scam-artist. When the leak was never fixed, we called him to return, only for him to start faking crying a family death, which he couldn’t return to the property for another week. Never showed, and ran away with our $325 check. If you’re still dumb enough to use this crook, and he shows-up on the property, run fast. We are filling a lawsuit to gain our refund. True Crook, True Scam Artist, makes me not want to use Angie’s List. Buyer Beware"

"Our AC started acting up on a Friday. I called CJS Heating and Cooling because they are one of the few AC places that have Saturday appointments. They came out (Sept. 10, 2022) and were over the top friendly. The technician assessed the air-conditioning unit and said the ground wire to the compressor was completely melted and the wires in the compressor were all completely melted in it. She then explained how freon is now illegal, so it costs a lot for our system to be repaired. She verbally quoted us $10,000 to repair our compressor correctly so we would be much better off to just get a new system. She left and sent in the project manager who quoted an extremely expensive price for even their base unit. My husband was out of town, and I repeatedly told him that I was unwilling to decide without speaking to him first. He kept reassuring me that the company was all about customer service and that I needed to make a decision that weekend so that they could get us on the books for a replacement. He emphasized that it was all about making us comfortable because it was hot. He was quite insistent about me deciding right away. The project manager was so over the top friendly and insistent on me making an immediate decision that I became uncomfortable with the situation. I called in another AC company for a second opinion. The company came in and quoted us a price for a new unit that a third of the price of CJS with a better warranty. Before deciding on a new unit he checked our existing unit and came back in less than 10 minutes holding a part in his hand – a bad capacitor. The freon was full, pressures were good, and the amps were normal. He said this was the only problem and that there were not melted wires everywhere. He said this was an easily recognized problem. He fixed it and cleaned the air-conditioning coils in 20 minutes. The part was $150. With the service fee and the part, the air-conditioning was fixed with less than $300 verses $10,000. Our air conditioning started right up and has been running for over a month with no problems. I highly recommend that anyone using CJS to always get a second opinion/competitive quote before signing anything. They are super friendly and want you to believe they are looking out for you, but our experience was very different."
