"While I called for a 'chimney' issue, the problem was actually not a chimney problem. Issue was caused by improperly placed fireplace logs. The technician showed me this from the (fireplace) vendor website. He then replaced all the logs per the vendor specs and removed the soot from the fireplace. The fireplace looks amazing. The technician was outstanding! He was very clear in explaining the problem as well as the resolution. He executed the fix in a very clean and timely fashion, despite the large amount of soot accumulated. I highly recommend Pratt Chimney services!"

"Rich and Chad came out to my parents home and during the inspection discovered there had been a chimney fire in both chimney's at some point and they were unsafe to use in that condition. They carefully showed us the camera images and explained what everything was to my elderly parents. They suggested we contact our home insurance provider and said they would provide the information to submit. The estimate was very detailed, including photos and brochures about chimney safety and I submitted the information. State Farm immediately agreed to cover the damage and a crew from Jiminy Chimney came out and completed the work in horrible cold conditions because my Dad wanted to have a fire in the fireplace for Christmas. "Lindemann Chimney had sent Steve to our house to inspect and sweep the chimney. Steve started by visually inspecting the firebox and surrounding area. He then climbed up to the roof to inspect the exterior of the chimney. Finally, he inspected the interior of the flue. He stopped the inspection at this point to discuss the results with us. In short, the chimney is not safe for use for a few reasons. Steve clearly explained the issues he had discovered both interior and exterior. He did not perform the sweeping at this point since we all agreed that we would not use the fireplace until these issues were addressed/repaired. We continued to discuss other options. Overall, we had a great conversation and ended with a confident understanding of the issues and our options. I believe Steve went beyond our expectations for the following reasons: - Potential issues on our roof surrounding the chimney were pictured and discussed. Because of this we are going to have a roofer examine these issues. - The sweep was not performed, because the chimney is not safe to use. This reduced our cost to just an inspection. - While discussing alternative options, we became very excited about the idea of installing a wood stove insert. I highly recommend Lindemann for your fireplace and chimney needs."

"My interaction with Joe at Elite Chimney is how I wish things went with every contractor that I worked with. Joe Rudd responded to my Angie's list request for quotes within 5 minutes (beating the other 2 vendors by half a day) and was cordial, confident and informative. I had a time issue that would have eliminated Elite based on their first availability so Joe responded by offering to squeeze me in between other jobs in less than a week from my call. He arrived with an assistant and they were friendly and efficient, carefully covering the area as they swept the chimneys. They climbed to the roof to check things out and sent up a drone to show great overhead pictures of the chimneys, my first good look at the new chimney caps that I had recently had installed. They recommended new igniters as one was rusting out and the other was damaged. I love this wonderful company and would use them again in an instant."

"I contacted the provider 10-16-13 and received a home visit on 10-17-13. The employee that responded to my home examined all damaged and deteriorating masonry and gave me a rough estimate of 1500.00 dollars United States currency, but that a formal quote would be mailed. I received the quote via mail and as this was the only company that responded with a quote of three other companies contacted though angies list, I contracted with this provider to perform the repairs to my house. The employee that responded to my house was professional, and easy to talk to. the work was completed in two days time. the brick that was replaced was matched very close, and with some aging will not be noticeable at all. "We moved into our new house and on our first night heard an animal in our chimney! Because of weather and our schedule, it was 3 days later (2 days after we called)  that we were able to schedule an appointment, and in that time we didn't hear the animal again. Thank goodness we had them come out! Zach arrived and quickly discovered we had a raccoon nesting in our chimney, just above the flue! He quickly and humanely removed her. He was friendly, knowledgeable and professional. We will definitely use their services again if needed. "
