I bought a custom fit chimney cap myself for like $200 I think and then had emerald city retrofit and install it for $450."

He showed me pictures of the chimney problem areas and explained how the moisture got into the chimney. He told me I didn't need a sweep. To eliminate the moisture problem he suggested I get some needed repairs, have chimney caps installed, and have water repellent applied. "My first contact with the technician from POWERS was just to look into the subject of getting chimney caps, because I was having problems with moisture damage inside my house on that south-facing wall.  I spoke to the guys who did a full tear-down and rebuild of my roof a few years ago (A Better Roofing Company), and they did a FREE inspection of the roof and determined that it was intact and that the likely cause of my problem was rain saturating the inside of my chimney and migrating into that south wall near the chimney.  A Better Roofing Company does not offer chimney caps, so I checked the reviews on Angie's List and decided to call POWERS.  I was scheduled for just two days following my call, which pleased me greatly. <br> <br>On the appointed day the POWERS technician arrived on time, was courteous, professional and friendly, and went up on my roof to take measurements.  When he came down he told me my chimney had two flues and that they were a standard size, AND that he had them in his truck and could install them right now if I wished.  I agreed, and within a half hour my chimney caps were installed.  As I looked at the new chimney caps I mentioned that my brick wall was a bit past due for an application of brick sealer, and the technician told me that POWERS could do that for me too!  He took some measurements of my south wall and gave me an estimate.  I agreed, and about a week later my sealant was applied. <br> <br>I am DELIGHTED!  Typically I have bad luck finding competent, honest help who have a sense of urgency about getting the job done RIGHT the FIRST time.  Thanks to Angie's List and POWERS CHIMNEY & MASONRY, my luck may be changing!  <br> <br> <br> "

We would highly recommend North Creek Roofing for roof repair and roofing projects. Dan McNeely, the owner, has integrity and treats his customers very respectfully and ethically, as did all the NCR employees during our recent roof replacement. NCR has installed two roofs on our house. The first roof installation was in January 2010, replacing the existing roof with a composition roof with a 30-year warranty. Sadly, that roof developed some leaking issues late in December 2020. We called NCR and a repair team was quickly sent to our home the same day. The roof leak was repaired, but the repair team also took some pictures of our roof back to the office. We were quickly contacted by John, the Production Manager. It seemed our particular composition shingles could possibly have some manufacturing defects. We were sent a warranty claim form to fill out, for a complete roof replacement. Some of our shingles were also removed for testing. We were soon involved in a warranty claim against the company which manufactured the shingles on our roof. NCR followed our warranty claim from start to finish. This relieved us of the stress of filing a warranty claim against the manufacturer ourselves. In the end, we were presented with a fair warranty claim settlement. The NCR roofing crew did a fantastic job installing a new roof last month. The project went smoothly from start to finish .The old roof was completely replaced, including the plywood sheeting and venting system. The roofing crew worked as an efficient team to quickly remove and replace the roof. They were very polite, professional, and thoroughly cleaned up around the work-site each day. The new roof looks fantastic. We have every confidence that this roof will dependably protect our home from rain, snow, ice, and wind for many years to come."

"Estimator came out within days of calling and provided a detailed, accurate estimate; work crew was terrific -- friendly, efficiently, very careful not to damage our landscaping. We were consulted on extra costs related to some related to a small area of rot. We are confident the work was done thoroughly and professionally, as well as quickly (obviously, getting a new roof is noisy and disruptive, but the crew finished in two days). Roof looks terrrific - and is warrantied for decades."
