"Bob has done numerous projects for our old house over the years mainly carpentry, and most recently to replace cedar siding on a large area of the house. Bob does excellent carpentry and finish work and is an extremely hard worker. He has also done wood gutter repair, cleaning and sealing, hung exterior doors and installed exterior wood railings for us. The various projects have involved a significant amount of high exterior painting. He has a wide range of skills and excellent problem-solving ability. Because of this history, we have a lot of trust that Bob will do an excellent job at whatever project he accepts. "

"Did the job right and honorably. On my way home to meet him, I had an accident and was brought to the hospital. My downstairs neighbor let him in the building, and I had left the door unlocked. He got directions via phone.bi told him where the money was, and how much to take, adding a tip. He could have been tempted by an extra amount but he didn't take too much The job was beautifully done. I'd show pix, but I've managed to overload the shelves already. He put together a book case and a 6 cube storage shelf. Great job, and very understanding. Considering I could have accused him of theft or breaking something, he was willing to work with no one home. Highly, highly recommend. I'd definitely again if I hadn't sworn off needs some assembly furniture!"

FAQs for handyman service projects in Lowell, MA

Winterizing shields your home’s structure and key systems from snow, ice, and freezing temperatures. By sealing drafts and tuning up heaters, you cut energy waste, extend the life of appliances and windows, and avoid surprise repair bills. A small up-front investment keeps rooms cozy and protects the value of your biggest asset all winter long.

Yes, it’s important to prepare your sprinkler system for the winter. Blowing out the lines and insulating above-ground parts keeps valves and pipes from splitting when temperatures drop. A quick winterization visit costs far less than repairing burst components in spring, and it ensures your lawn--and your wallet--stay in good shape once the thaw hits.

A full home winterization plan goes beyond sealing windows and pipes. You might schedule a home energy audit, cover outdoor furniture, service the snowblower, swap smoke-detector batteries, add outlet gaskets, and hang storm doors. Each step beefs up your home’s protection, cuts drafts, and lowers the chance of costly cold-weather damage.
