"I recently had the pleasure of using Leaky's Plumbing, Heating, and A/C for both plumbing and air conditioning services, and I couldn't be more satisfied. From the moment I called, their customer service was top-notch, scheduling was a breeze, and they were incredibly responsive. The technician arrived on time, was professional, and clearly knowledgeable. They quickly diagnosed the issues and provided a detailed explanation of the necessary repairs. The work was completed efficiently and with great attention to detail. Not only did they fix the problems, but they also took the time to ensure everything was working perfectly before leaving. What truly sets Leaky’s apart is their commitment to customer satisfaction. They went above and beyond to make sure I was happy with the service. I highly recommend Leaky’s Plumbing, Heating, and A/C to anyone in need of plumbing or air conditioning services. They are reliable, professional, and truly care about their customers."

"This company was very professional and courteous. They installed a new name-brand unit. They charged us what they quoted us for the job (We appreciated that there were no hidden fees.) We hired them because of the great reviews on Angie's List. We are very pleased with the work that they did."

Dale Bolles Plumbing Heating & Air Conditioning

"We have an older home in Tech Terrace so it goes without saying that we keep a plumber on retainer. Dale Bolles is the company that worked on the house for the prior owner and they have been a godsend. They know where old connections are located, where the hidden fireplace vents, and why the plumbing is such a headache. <br /> On Sunday night, June 2 our a/c unit began cycling too rapidly. Despite the fact that we had 4 extra people in the house, we had to turn it off before the motor burned out. I called Bolles at 8 a.m. this morning and a serviceman was here by 1 p.m. When the job turned out to be too complex for a single technician, a team showed up to troubleshoot. By 4 p.m. we had cool air again. In the nick of time - the temperature tomorrow is supposed to hit 105 degrees. <br />"

"I have been using Crockett's Plumbing since moving to my current house in 2006 and have been very satisfied with their work.   <br /> In March of 2012 my a/c stopped cooling.  Crockett tried to get it going again, but I asked him about the cost of a new unit.  He did not try to sell me a unit, but I decided to replace it.  They installed a Carrier and it has been great.  This house had a heat pump which did not work very well, so I was pleased to learn that the new unit would replace the heating as well as the a/c unit. <br /> In Oct of 2013 I bought a new dishwasher and Crockett's Plumbing installed it. The d/w I bought, however, was a little too short for my space and I decided to return it.  I bought another d/w from Sears, but since the delivery charge was so high I decided to use a different plumber to install the second d/w--one who would pick it up from Sears and then install it.  I was shocked when the new plumber charged me more than double the amount that Crockett's Plumbing had charged me to install the first one! <br /> Once I thought I had a leak behind the wall in a bathroom, but when it turned out to be nothing, he didn't charge me anything. <br /> Only once did I have to call them back--when the pipe under the kitchen sink had a small leak after the basket strainer was replaced--and they came back immediately and fixed it. <br /> I have been very satisfied with Crockett's Plumbing--their services and their prices. <br />"

"My wife and I decided to try something different, convert our two toilets into bidets! Wow, wish I’d thought of it twenty years ago,  a bigtime improvement in practical comfort and especially convenience!   We knew better than to try the installations on our own   (in spite of healthy encouragement to do so from the Blu Luz ad literature) I interviewed a few local plumbing/ac guys.  I’d already mentioned   them to my physical therapist who said, “I love Earls.” Hmm… didn’t mean much until I got the various estimates, Earl’s was way more reasonable,  so they got the gig.            Why I’ll hire them in the future: the reason they stand out is that the fabulous Blu Luz model 250 didn’t contain the proper high-pressure valve, which blew out the    first night while we were asleep.. Ruth shaking me to go turn off the waterfall which turned out to be the hot water hose drenching the bathroom and adjacent closets    for twenty minutes.  I called Earl’s emergency number, and couldn’t believe got an answer, arranged for them to come out the next morning. In spite of the inherent  design flaw which Blu Luz admit to (and they promptly sent us the correct part plus more) Earl’s paid for the 3-day carpet vacuum operation, then as soon as the correct  part arrived came back to install it. No problems since, thanks especially to CHAD."

FAQs for plumbing installation for a remodel or addition projects in Lubbock, TX

Adding bathroom plumbing to a detached garage starts with the basic line installation cost of $900 to $1,300. On top of this base expense, you'll need to budget for each fixture. A toilet costs  $250 to $550, sinks cost $150 to $800, and a shower or bathtub costs $400 to $1,900. The project will also require ventilation, moisture-resistant materials, and possibly electrical work. Remember that these costs reflect only the plumbing aspects—additional construction, finishing, and permitting expenses will apply to complete a functional bathroom space.

While certain aspects of garage renovation might be suitable for DIY enthusiasts, plumbing installation requires professional expertise. Connecting to water and sewer systems demands specialized knowledge and equipment, and improper installation can result in severe water damage, code violations, and potential health hazards. Most municipalities require permits for plumbing modifications, and these often stipulate that licensed professionals must perform work. Consider limiting your involvement to simpler tasks like painting or basic finishing work.

The timeframe for adding plumbing to a detached garage spans one to three days for the actual plumbing work. However, this represents only the active installation period. The complete project timeline must account for planning, obtaining permits (which can take weeks depending on your locality), coordinating multiple contractors if needed, and addressing any unexpected challenges that arise during installation. Weather conditions can also impact excavation and outdoor connection work.

Adding plumbing to a detached garage will likely increase your property taxes. Tax assessors consider plumbing an improvement that enhances property value and functionality. The specific tax impact varies by location and project scope. Converting a garage into living space with plumbing facilities can trigger significant reassessment in many jurisdictions. Before proceeding with your project, consult your local tax assessor's office to understand the potential tax implications and factor this ongoing expense into your decision-making process.
