"I called Mattioni because both of my outside hose faucets had problems.  One was leaking.  I had already tried the basics (tightening the screw in the handle, etc.).  The plumber began by cutting a hole in the finished basement's ceiling in order to locate a hidden valve.  Once that was accessible, the plumber closed it and replaced the hose bib (faucet). <br /> I had a separate external hose faucet that had never functioned since we purchased the home.  Due to the way the basement was finished, there was no inside shutoff valve visible.  The plumber knew about where it should, and cut an access hole to locate it, with my permission.  The valve was there, and had been sheetrocked over in the closed the position when the basement was finished.  So, all this time, the faucet had just been shutoff, and then the shutoff valve was hidden.  After the valve was open, no actual plumbing was required. <br /> <br />"
